One of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors, Falz the Bahd Guy, has finally walked down the aisle, putting an end to years of speculation about his love life in a wedding that has, however, been clouded by the secrecy of the bride.

The award-winning rapper, whose real name is Folarin Falana, broke the news on Thursday via Instagram. Falz shared dazzling photos from his wedding photo-shoot with his mystery bride. He accompanied the post with an emotional note: “It’s been a long time coming, and having to do this with you is one of the best decisions of my life.”

While the photos showed Falz beaming with joy, the identity of his partner was carefully concealed, heightening curiosity and sparking a frenzy across social media about the wedding.

They are talking about him

Everybody is talking about him

APC, PDP, LP etc are all talking about him

When he donates money, they say he is doing eye service

When he hasn't donated, they say he is stingy

When he visits schools and hospitals, they say it is politics

When he doesn't visit, they scornfully ask why he hasn't visited

Whatever he does, they must talk

Yet in all their criticisms, nobody has accused him of embezzling public funds

Nobody has accused him of forging certificates

Nobody has accused him having fake classmates

Nobody has accused him of drug trafficking

Nobody has accused him of thuggery and rigging

He doesn't have any case with the EFCC or ICPC

They praise those whose backgrounds, parentages, schools attended, classmates, etc are shrouded in mystery

Yet they say Peter Obi is not an ideal person to be president

Let me make this abundantly clear

Peter Obi is not a saint

BUT

He is not a criminal either

Come 2027,

If Peter Obi in on the ballot

I will vigorously campaign for him

And I will also vote for him

As Chimamanda Adichie rightly puts it,

Peter WANTS to be president,

But he doesn't NEED to be president

A Peter Obi presidency will do Nigeria greater good than it will do to Peter Obi as a person

The choice is ours

As for me

It's Peter Obi, any time any day
