WORD OF THE DAY 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
One of the biggest reality of the modern world is that fathers are not appreciated as much as they deserve. Almost everyone is worried about that fact and the thought of it scares many too..
But the major question should be...
Whose fault is it?
Why do we feel so comfortable underappreciating the selfless efforts of our fathers despite everything?
Now lets check the reality table.
We all agree to the fact that,a major part of our lifestyle is heavily affected by what we grew up watching our parents do.
Infact, most times..we tend to judge people based on the principles that have been laid down by our parents.
From the stern strong hands of the father to the soft tender kisses of our mother. Day by day,our sense of reasoning keep trying its best to plant strong roots in these lifestyles
It affected everything about us.
Everything
We grew up receiving more complements from our mums than our dad. A child that scored 7/10 will be kissed by his mum for trying...but will be scolded by his dad for not behaving as good as the person that scored 10/10.
"How many head does he have?" became a question we grew up listening to
We grew up with fathers that took delight in the result and not the process.
A child suffering will always get the prayers of his mum...but will become "Omekannaya" when he makes it.
Our fathers raised us to see a competition as a way of life. You don't matter until you are rich
We grew up looking at the male folk as business partners and the females as enjoyments. We saw women as people that deserve appreciation and enjoyment...we saw men as competitors.
Gradually we keep loosing it
We need to learn from our fathers. From their mistakes. From their regrets. From their pasts.
We need to start appreciating our male kids. No matter how little the progress it. We should appreciate them. Don't sit and watch your wife jubilate their small wins with them. Join them too.
Don't wish your son did it like Ebuka or Ifeanyi. Show him you are proud of his progress
Young fathers pls appreciate your sons.
The world is not a competitive ground. We all can make it.
Support your sons.
They will blow your mind when you grow old
