A Message to Nigerlites: Let's Work Together to Address Power Challenges
Fellow Nigerlites,
The power issues we've been facing in Niger State are real, but let's set the record straight: it's not the fault of the Niger State Government or its Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy. Under the leadership of Farmer Governor Umaru Bago, the state is working tirelessly to address these challenges through alternative power sources, particularly Renewable Energy.
The National Grid has limitations and we are paying the price for it. With over 50% of our population having limited or no access to electricity, it's time we explored viable alternatives. The Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, led by Hon. Suleiman Umar, is committed to driving sustainable energy development and economic growth through Renewable Energy.
Renewable Energy is the way to go! It promotes energy independence, reduces greenhouse gas emissions and fosters sustainable development. Niger State is poised to unlock its full potential and drive growth through Renewable Energy.
The National Grid faces challenges due to Nigeria's growing population and urbanization, leading to frequent outages and inefficiencies. But we can change this narrative. By embracing Renewable Energy, we can reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, mitigate climate change and ensure energy security.
As citizens, we can key into the New Niger Agenda and take charge of our energy future. Let's explore Renewable Energy options for our homes, offices and businesses. Solar energy is a great place to start!
We urge you to be patient, supportive, and proactive. Report power issues, explore alternative energy sources, and join the renewable energy revolution. Together, we can achieve better power supply and sustainable development for Niger State.
The problem is not with Niger State or its government; it's with the National Grid. Let's give our government a chance to work with REA and IsDB to explore more Renewable Energy opportunities across the state.
Let's work together to build a brighter future for Niger State!
