I had an errand to run in Ikeja, I had 500 naira for my transportation, even though Ikeja is not far from my side, bus fee is usually 100 naira to 150 naira depending on the time, because Lagos doesn't have a fix transportation fee, you might be going to this particular place and TP will be 500 naira in the morning but In the evening the price can change to 800 naira or 1,000 naira or even more depending on the time.
I entered the bus heading to Ikeja and I ask the conductor how much to Ikeja, he said 250, I was like haaàaaa what happened, why will the price skyrock from 150 to 250, and everyone was complaining Also, but one thing about Lagos conductor's and driver's is that they don't care, if you like complain from now till tomorrow you will still pay that money.
I gave the conductor 500 and the lady beside me gave him 500 naira also, he shouted haaaaaa I don't have change ooo with his cracked voice 😁😎, I just carry face like say I no hear am, after about 3 mins I said conductor change oo, reminding conductor's of change is something I learned here in Lagos, you have to keep on reminding them, because they intentionally want you to forget your change.
When we got to Ikeja the conductor ask around for change but didn't get, so he gave the lady who sat beside me the 500 naira and told her we should go and look for change, her change is 250 and mine is 250 also. We ask around but couldn't get anyone to change the 500 naira for us, it was like the 500 naira was cursed, and I didn't want to buy anything because that was my returning TP fee and the lady also didn't want to buy anything, we stood under the bridge for about 10mins, I was hoping she will change her mind to buy something so we can get change but I think she was also hoping I do the same.
I said which kind wahala Conductor don put me like this, the lady got tired and crossed to the other side of the road, there's one guy selling puff puff, I was like thank God finally, I saw her coming back with the puff puff in two separate nylon and I was wondering why🤷, she walked up to me and said I bought puff puff of 200 naira so 150 change for you and 150 change for me, I wanted to say did I told you I want to buy puff puff but I was dumbfounded, they even added 1 jara to the puff puff and she shared the jara in two, she gave me 1 half and kept the other half for herself, and she left me standing there with my mouth wide open😧.
Thankfully when I wanted to go back home the
transportation fee has drop back to 150 naira if not na so I for trekk that day 🤣.
Please always enter public transport with your change before someone will go and buy biscuit For you to share🤣🤣🤣🤣.
