EPISODE 2

RASHTRAKUTA EMPIRE
The Emperor of Rashtrakuta emperor Kumar was born a Muslim but his son was born in a temple during the war with the Rajputs,while some thought the emperor might not make it since he was seriously injured,so his son was named Rohan(ascending)but fate had something else in store,the seriously injured emperor whom people thought could not make it home was saved by a Rajput king,Raja Prabnam Singh the ruler of Magadha,he could have finish off Kumar right there but his conscience and upbringing wouldn't bring him to do that,allowing Kumar return home safely and in good health,this action of his almost made him enemies with the other Rajputs but his warrior queen Manika Sharma help him mend his relationship with the other Rajputs as he also avoid having ties with the Rashtrakuta since he saved their emperor but then the emperor of Amricot who had always eyed the wealth and military power of the Rajputs proposed a friendship since he heard of prabnam saving Kumar's life,while Manika Sharma goes through every length to avoid this so called friendship but end up losing her life and her reputation as many believed she had an affair with sheriffudeen emperor of Amricot,since she was never in love with her so called husband to begin with.

“Are you sure you can handle this alone"Prince Rohan ask his best buddy Aarav as they walk out of the training field

“Do I have a choice,my father wants me to go out there and prove myself,since the son of the prime minister cannot be useless"Aarav replied laughing it off

“but going out to fight savage animals,Aarav you can't even hurt a dog and now you're going to hunt down savage beasts"

“they aren't just savage animals,I heard they belong to a group of bandits that kidnapp women and sold them off,that's the main reason I agreed to go fight atleast I would be able to stop them from kidnapping any more of our women"

“And I'm getting married to sakshi soon,my mother already agreed although father seems to be against it"Aarav added

“sakshi is a beautiful and reasonable lady she's gentle,calm and respectful any man would want her,but she's a slave daughter it's understandable that your father is against it"Rohan said

“But she's no more a slave her mother married the richest merchant in the capital,I think she became his fourth wife,I just can't understand my father sometimes,he might feel friendly today and strict tomorrow"Aarav sigh

“you're lucky,I never knew my father until I was five and then his internal injuries start acting up again when I was ten,I saw him cough out blood by that time I was fifteen and suddenly he lost his appetite and strength,I was only twenty then..."

“And now you're twenty five and he's bedridden so you never got much fatherly love from him,my ear drum is getting itchy already"Aarav completed Rohan's word

“I've I said it before"he asked

“No you chant it every time I mention my father"Aarav laugh

“how dare you make fun of me,I won't spare you this time"Rohan chase after Aarav who run in circles and won't stop laughing

“Your highness, Empress Fatima request your presence in the emperor's chamber"Mahi interrupt their fun

Mahi was Empress Fatima,Rohan's mother assistant maid and partially Rohan's nanny

“is something happening to father again"Prince Rohan didn't wait for her to reply as he rushed straight to his father's chamber

“Kya hua Ummijaan,is father alright"he impatiently ask

“nothing unusual,your father has a few words to say to you before he would one day be unable to speak"Empress Fatima replied calmly
He moved closer to his father who smiled seeing his son fully grown up

“Abujaan,I'm right here beside"

“it's about time you become an emperor yourself,you've proved yourself capable enough to rule an empire...."the word suddenly stuck in his throat and Fatima placed an handkerchief in his mouth making him cough up the blood clot in his throat

“Abujaan!"

“why are you so noisy...I've decided to pass the throne to you so be less noisy,and my last request and also an assignment for you..."he paused

“I'm finally happy,you finally ask me to do something for you,you've never told me to do anything or nagged at me like mother used to"he smiled widely

“help me stay on good terms with the king of Magadha, I was never able to repay him for saving my life because he never wanted anything to do with the Muslims back then,I wanted to build a tight relationship with him back then,he's strong,intelligent,humble and righteous,I've always wanted to make a true friend all my life,Prabnam is an innocent man although he had a crazy queen...but she's also a good woman...."he paused

“but how long did you spend in Magadha for you to know their behavior so well?"Rohan ask

"The war lasted for years that our supplies ran out even the soldiers couldn't hold on any longer and I was badly injured,who would have thought my own brother would wish for my death so badly,I only held on this long because of his word that encourages me not to give in so easily to death,it would be one of my greatest achievement if he was my friend,and I wanted to pass this information to him so badly...that I would never let go of the hand he stretched towards me..."it's was as if the last ounce of strength was squeezed out of him so he gently close his eyes and fell asleep

“your father has been hanging on to his life really great,what he said to you was what he regretted most and he's trying to leave the world without regrets,so he had been correcting his wrongs ever since he came back,the only regret he couldn't overcome was making a true friend,he asking you to do it for him means he hasn't given up yet"Fatima said to her son as she won't stop looking at her husband and holding his hands tightly

"It would be great if Prabnam Singh could attend your coronation as the new emperor of Rashtrakuta"she added

"This is the first time father gave me an assignment of course I have to complete it"he said

“the coronation is in a few days,an empire can't be without an emperor,I've speak to your father about this and it's decided that the coronation is in two months you must make it back before the coronation"she patted his shoulder and was about to leave

“if I have only two months,then I have to leave now,the journey to Magadha is not a day"

"U're right,but I didn't make it compulsory for you to bring Prabnam Singh to your coronation,if you can't finish your father's assignment in two months you can still try again in the future"

“No I have to make him attend my coronation,I can't disappoint father's trust in me"Rohan left the chamber as soon as he finish his words to set out on his journey to fulfil his father's wish.

she couldn't stop him from leaving for his journey that very day and he couldn't bring Aarav along,since he also had an assignment given to him and he was to become a groom before going on his own assignment.

Rohan left Rashtrakuta with only two people his chief guard Khalid and jhumki his younger sister,with the fastest transportation they arrived at Magadha in two weeks and they stayed at the temple where he bumped into this little lady who seems to dislike people who care about people they don't know and he got himself painted in red vermilion trying to shield her from a falling tray but she shove him aside and walk away from him,this was the first time he encountered such a treatment,at that,from a girl who is a few years older than his sister

“Don't let her behavior get the best of you she always treats guys like that it's nothing new"the woman who owns the tray said as she picked up her tray

"Durga ma by your grace I am eighteen today,since I lost my mother at the age of six you've stayed by me and became my mother,today is my birthday mother let me have your blessings "Durgavarti said as she prayed to the goddess
“you can now distribute the roti princess ”the sage said to her
“I know baba, and I've decided to start with you, have some roti baba and let me have your blessings ”she said pointing the tray filled with roti to the Sage.“stay blessed my daughter”
“Thank you baba”she smiled brightly while distributing the rest of the roti
“you sure know how to pretend to be happy so everyone can see you as a cheerful princess instead of a cast aside princess ”a lady said as she walked majestically towards Durga
“Benezir”
“Little sister that is not a polite way to greet your elders ”
«Princess Benezir; Daughter of Raja prabnam and queen Selina his first wife »
“today is your birthday and father doesn't even know and you aren't planning on telling him either because you're afraid, Hena”Benezir said leaning towards Durga “you trying your best to be a good girl doesn't clear out your mother's scandals ”she whispered
“My mother's scandals you say that can't hurt me anymore I already moved on from that, let anybody say what their mouth could say I believed my own mother ”Durga replied calmly
“being two years older than me doesn't necessarily makes you an elder ”she added before walking away
«My father never liked children we are just tools to him he never paid attention to any of his children instead he's always strict and caught up in political affairs and any of us can be used as bargaining chip only his wives knows how to handle him and sometimes he go way out of their hands, so all they can do is protect their children from him I was the only unprotected one since I lost my mother and the other wives doesn't seems to want me either all they do is Pretend but now I've know how to protect my self as long as I don't interfere in whatever he does I'm alright I learnt my lesson the very day I confronted him to celebrate my thirteen years birthday and he promised to do that, he did as he promised but I couldn't believe my birthday party would turn into a political gathering of kings and princes which they tittled my birthday and I wasn't even given much attention and my father didn't even spare me any of his time as the day wash away and I ended up meeting dozens of gifts in my room, I was in the hall but no one came to give me the gift in person and it was dumped in my room instead,I got mad and threw out every thing and then my father found out and I was locked up in the dark room for good seven days, actually non of us liked the dark room,its cold, dark and empty, no bathing, no playing, no sleeping and we can only feed on cold tasteless snacks,no one could get used to that,but I got used to it cause I'm the only one who goes there often, today is my birthday and I didn't even tell my father because he does the same thing and gives me the same gift nothing changes about him but I don't need him to celebrate with me anymore cause the goddess and the people shall celebrate with me and I prefer giving out roti and receive their blessings,but there's someone's give I always look forward to and it would be arriving soon,my grandfather's gift is always the best,he's the only one who takes me seriously and never forgets any thing about me,but my father stopped him from coming again and again except on special occasions but today's occasion is nothing special, but he never miss......»She suddenly snap back to reality after bumping into a man on the street.

“oh Durga!durga!durga!you're so stupid that you start talking to yourself again” she hit herself on the head
“are you okay? ”the man asked
“but why are you asking me that, cmon go your way”she snapped and he looked at her surprised
“I didn't mean it that way,I'm just worried"

“Do you know me?"

"No but..."

“Do I know you?"

“but it is only right to worry about others"

"Hey Mr nobody,not everyone you see cares if you worry about them so move out of the way"she tried to shove him aside but accidentally hit a woman with a tray of sindoor and the tray flew from the woman hands straight to her face, while the young man who tries to avoid the tray hitting her was also covered up in red vermilion and he slowly help her wipe her face but she shove his hands away and wipe her dress with her clothes before walking down the street and stopped by a fabric store.

“today was supposed to be my day but look at me"Durga complains as she went to sit right in front of junoon

“why are you covered in red Durga"junoon ask seeing her dear friend all red

“it's not an unlucky thing,you covered in red means you're getting married soon"Bholi interfered

“Ama Durga doesn't like men, she hates them"junoon replied

“that is because she thinks every man is like her father,I just don't understand it's not like she's going to marry her father"Bholi said doing her calculations before beginning a new day of business

“it's not that I hate men,some men are just not worth it"Durga replied

“you didn't bring mishri with you today"junoon ask looking outside for mishri

“I told her to stay and receive grandfather's letter it's must not get into bad hands"Durga replied

"U would become the queen of piplivan sooner or later"junoon jokes

"What if I really become the queen of piplivan since grandfather has no heir and he's not getting any younger"Durga said imaging her life as a ruler

“I heard he remarried some years back"Bholi ask

“Ama!why would you even ask that"junoon signals to her mother

“she died,she didn't last,she wasn't well before marrying my grandfather and it got worse and she died"

“the kingdom of piplivan is at the brink of falling it's only support was your father so it would be useless even if there's an heir"
“junoon must you say that to my face,forget it,I would just take a shower and leave"Durga stormed up and walk into a small entrance

“What type of friend are you,how could you say that to her,you know how emotional she is"Bholi said before starting to display the rest of the fabrics

“Ever since I've been born I never really make a true friend my friendship with people is just to find someone to chat with,play with and spend the day with,the only true friend I've made so far was Mishri,she was the servant my mother assigned to me years ago,she was among the captives took from piplivan in the third war with the Muslims, I remembered my mother went to that battle herself and brought back some of the captives and Mishri was among them,we end up growing up together anyway but she was like a sister to me.junoon was just a friend I made on street,she was never reliable or anything and her mother Bholi...she's a sensible woman but she never really know how to raise her daughter well enough,actually she just couldn't raise her daughter alone,since she's a divorcee,but I heard the rumors that says her husband treated her like a punching bag and didn't even spare the daughter so she ran away from him,well the rumors must be true since she was Hindu and her husband is a Muslim, nothing good comes out of such marriage....wait why did I start to gossip to myself again"Durgavarti hit herself again before finishing her business at the store and headed straight to the palace, where she cross path with her worse nightmare.

SYNOPSIS
Ever since Islam religion was delivered to India, the people of India splitted into different parts. Many Indians started accepting Islam leaving a few who had strong belief in their religion.
The non Muslim was constantly oppressed and was either forced to accept Islam or bow before the Muslims which lead to a religious war but the Muslims always wins as they had each other's backed while the non Muslims keep reducing and reducing,even their lands and properties were being taken away from them making their lives worse and miserable.
The only non Muslims left were the Rajputs,who were known for practicing Hindu and Sikhism,they weren't easy to take down cause of their caste immense military power but they were also shaken by the Muslims, while some of them even became a Muslim.
Raja prabnam Singh was a strong Rajput king who did his very best to protect his people with everything he had.he did this to protect his family also,he had three wives and four children,two males and females.
His first wife was his childhood friend whom he cherished and she gave him two children a boy and a girl,while his second wife was his late brother's wife whom he later married to protect and she gave him a bouncing baby boy,his third wife was a Hindu princess,princess Manika Sharma,she was the princess of piplivan,her brother died in the religious battle and she gave herself to prabnam while he promised to protect the remains of her kingdom and her father,Raja Sharma who was now old with no heir while she bore him a daughter who she named after goddess Durga as Durgavarti.
Princess manika died trying to avoid the friendship between her husband and the emperor of Amricot,Emperor sheriffudeen who was seen as a great emperor who does not discriminate between religions since he allows both Hindu and Muslims in his kingdom but the truth was Hindus were treated as slave in his kingdom they were treated like animals but no one believed her and she end up falling into the emperor's hand and she chose to end her own life than letting her enemy have their way leaving her daughter to the hands of the world.while Durgavarti faced hardship and betrayal from the one she loved and trusted but then she returned to piplivan to stay with her grandfather with the very gift she received from the goddess....
