PRAYER

Unless the prayer life of an individual is revived and kept vigorous, all that may be happening in his spiritual life may be just activities of the soul life, which are bound to be short-lived before man and of no consequence at all before God.

Prayer is the most important work on earth.
Prayer is very hard work.
Prayer is the greatest thing that anyone can do on earth to advance the interest of God, the Church, man, and himself.
Prayer is the rail on which the locomotive of Gods power moves.
A man is only as spiritual and only as important before God as his prayer life is.
Prayer is the greatest power in all the world.
Prayer has more power locked up in it than the atomic bomb.
Prayer is the one thing that puts the devils kingdom into confusion.
Gods ablest soldiers are those who pray.
Prayer is the priority of spiritual people.
Prayer is the way to Gods heart.
God has committed Himself to answer all prayers that are in His will and that flow forth from pure hearts.

Chapter One

A SUCCESSFUL MARRIAGE
Today we shall tell you something new. The Lord had to keep us for four more days in Congo so that I hear His voice. I want us to ask God for faith to believe His Word; for that is our need. We are going to prophesy the Word. Lift up your hand and say, “God, give me faith to believe Your prophecies.”
The first thing we want to say is that the man is the prophet of his home. His wife is the fruit of his prophecy each day. Your wife is the fruit of your prophecy. Men, lift up your hands and say, “I am the prophet of my home and I have been harvesting the fruit of my prophecies.” You have created what you now have by your prophecies. You have been harvesting the fruit of your prophecies. But more than that, everyone here is the fruit of his prophecy about himself. Everyone should put up his hand and say, “I am the fruit of the prophecy I have prophesied about myself.” What you have said about yourself, God has confirmed it and brought it to pass it. You are the fruit of the prophecies you prophesy about yourself.
Every successful man has prophesied success about himself in his words, in his attitude, and in his thinking. It is very frightful, but also very true. When things have been difficult and you have confessed, “I will succeed in spite of the difficulties,” you have succeeded. When you gave up, you failed. If you want to change a man, change what he says about himself.
I also want to say this: Every woman is a prophetess in her home. Your husband is what you have prophesied, even if your prophecies come forth as a long face, or as a groan which says what volumes of books could not say. Women, lift up your hands and say: “The boy who came into my life and the man I have today are the creation of my prophecies, of the things I have said.” When she has said to him, “You are irresponsible!” it has not led the man to bubble to be responsible. When she has said, “You are a good man; you are the best thing that has ever happened to me,” the man has gone out determined to be good, and sought to come back home with a good present for her. The minimum is that he brought back a smile and he came back home early to this prophetess of good.
If the man had married another woman, he would have been different. Sister, you have the man you have created. It is frightful, but true! Is there a man here who has ever thought that if his wife had married a different man she would have been happier? In fact, I have thought so. 4. GOALS
Do you have a clear goal for your life? Write it down clearly. How much of it has been accomplished? Where did you get your goal from? Was it wishful thinking? Was it a dream?
A church of people without goals cannot be a growing church. If you have goal-less people around you, you will go nowhere. A goal-less person is a dangerous person. In a house match final in a college in Bali, the defence man of one of the houses scored against his team. Without a goal you are likely to be like this defence man.
Goals are measurable. If there is no way of measuring your success day by day, year by year, you may be going nowhere in the accomplishment of the goal.
Let me say this again; it is a failure in leadership that leads to a people without goals. A goal-directed life will be communicated from the leader to the people. The leader shares the goal to the people and gives them prices to pay.
If a man asks you to be his disciple - ask him where you two are going to. Are you someone's disciple? What are you being discipled into? In the Church in Libreville, there is a book of goals. When a brother has a clear goal, it is registered in that book. I like the idea. This will help those who already have goals to be reminded of them should they attempt walking away from them. It will also stimulate those who do not have goals to seek God more until they have received goals from Him.
I have never seen a goal-less man go anywhere. He may have a lot of potential but he will go nowhere. A goal occupies a man night and day. He measures every person in the light of his goal. He asks, "is this person for my goal or not?" For my goal - Good.
Not for my goal - Bad.

Goals have time-limits for their accomplishment. When it comes to a goal, one must be able to look at it and know whether or not he is succeeding. A man with a goal is constantly asking - What must happen this day?
this week?
this month?
this year?
next year?
the next five years?
the next ten years? And so on.
In leadership, the leader must give clear instructions with dates. If not there is a failure in leadership.
5. THE CHILDREN
Another problem-area now is in the leadership of children. Actually, many children in the churches are not being catered for. A third of the leadership in the church ought to be leading the children. The first responsibility was, "feed my lambs" then, "feed my sheep". Why is there such a shortage of ministers to children?
In many places the children are committed to someone who has his hands full already. Such a man cannot concentrate on the children and the need remains. It is time for us to do something for our children. I am pleading with today's leadership to do something on this matter. The future surely depends on it. 1. IT WILL TAKE THE INVESTMENT OF OUR ALL 1
Jesus is the pearl of great price. You can only purchase Him with your all. If your all is 10 units, and you give 10 units, you have Him. If your all is 100, and you give 100 francs, you have Him. If your all is 1.00.000, and you give 1.00.000, you have Him. If your all is 10.000.000.000 and you give 9.000.000.000, you do not have Him.
You cannot say, "this man does so little and his wife is satisfied, whereas I do more and my wife is not satisfied." Only your all will do. Only the all of a man can win God, and win another man. Only the all of one heart can win the other heart. Only the all wins, whether in divine or in human love. This is a principle of life.
Until a man's all is given, nothing has been given. Humanly speaking, my heart is not touched by anything less than a man's all. The heart naturally is not touched by anything less than the all.
