*PALM TREE* is a manoecious plant that have a life span of over 35 years. There is nothing on palm tree that is a waste. its misocarp is pressed for the Palm Red oil while the kernel can be useful for things ranging from PKO (palm kernel Oil) PKC( Palm kernel cake) flooring materials, The waste can be used to improve soil fertility in plan oil plantation and other farm land. The palm fronds are useful in broom making and the tree itself is very good source of palm wine.
The palm tree have 3 fruit forms namely Pisifera, Dura and Tenera
The hybrid tenera from NIFOR has about 80 percent mesocarp and 20 percent endocarp and it matures within 36 months i.e 3 year.

1 hectare of properly manage plantation will give between 3-5 tonnes of fresh palm oil yearly. One tones is about 40tins of 25 litters gallons.
*LAND REQUIREMENTS*
depending on how willings and ready you are, one can start with every available land space one has.
However, a hectars of land takes 150 palms, soil reach with humus preferably.
oil palm is an economic tree !!
