SOLAR ELECTRIC SECURITY FENCE PRODUCT PACKAGE

A power utility company needed a solar electric security fence for a site without perimeter power, aiming to use the latest digital technology for remote monitoring. They required protection from vandalism and burglaries after previous break-in attempts. Nemtek replaced the old electronic equipment with four new Druid 28 energisers, Nemlink cards, and wireless transmitters, all housed in secure Aluminium Boxes with a 15Amp solar regulator, 100Amp hour battery, and wiring. The Druid Controller FG7 and fence probe software were used for remote control and monitoring. The customer was very satisfied with the solution, which allows centralised remote monitoring of alarms, voltages, and events, and is considering expanding this technology to other sites.

Electric fencing solution for a large game farm

A large game farm owner needed a solution to prevent game animals from escaping and to stop predators like jackals and caracals from entering. Nemtek installed a monitored 10-wire offset electric fence on the existing 25km perimeter fence, using three double offsets, a triple offset with porcelain insulators every five meters, and a triple offset with two live wires and an earth wire at the bottom. Additionally, 40cm high Y-Pickets with a single wire were installed 500mm from the fence to prevent digging. Porcelain combo tensioners, S-Hooks, and three Druid 114 LCD energisers housed in metal enclosures were used for tensioning and monitoring. This solution now secures the game farm, ensuring the animals' safety and preventing escapes.

Solar electric fence protects the garden from the family’s dogs

After moving into a new home with beautiful gardens, my two dogs began digging up and destroying the flowerbeds. Replanting efforts failed, so I searched for a solution and found the Nemtek PetStop kit, a solar-powered electric fence. I installed the kit, which covers 24 meters, by knocking in fibre rods, clipping on pet springs, and running three strands of ecostop poly-wire. The earth spike supported the Energiser with a solar panel and battery. The installation was simple, and after a brief shock, my dogs now avoid the fence, preserving the garden without harming them.

A sheep farmer needed a portable and temporary fencing solution for strip grazing on his irrigated grass fields. Nemtek provided four sides of electric fence netting, powered by a Nemtek Agri 25 Solar Energizer with a battery, to confine the sheep to specific grazing areas. This setup, which can be moved daily over an eight-week cycle, allows the farmer to effectively manage grazing and prevent the sheep from escaping.
