For Mother’s Day, we’re switching things up a little…

This time around, we’re not making robots (yet 😉).

Instead, we’re celebrating the incredible mothers in our lives — the heart of every home — with something specially curated just for them

Introducing our Makeramai Series: Cupcake Decorating DIY Workshop (Mother’s Day Special) — a sweet and meaningful bonding experience designed to honour mums and the love they give every day. Spend quality time together decorating beautiful cupcakes, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will last far beyond the day itself. Because sometimes, the most meaningful moments aren’t built with circuits and code, but with frosting, love, and time spent together!

What an amazing session at our Build a 4-Legged Walking Toy Robot workshop 🤖✨

Makeramai Series is BACK with another exciting hands-on adventure! 🐾

Looking for a fun and meaningful activity for your kids? Join us for a creative STEM session where young makers will build their very own 4-Legged Walking Toy Robot! 🐾

From building to bringing it to life, kids will explore basic engineering and enjoy creating their own walking robot. This workshop is hosted by Makeramai and delivered by Kiddo Science & Honeybee, with DIY kits provided.

Date & Time: 3 May 2026 (2:30 PM – 4:00 PM)

Age Group: 6 – 12 years old

Aerodance 2.0 What a Blast!

Aerodance 2.0 has officially wrapped up yesterday, and what an incredible session it was. From start to finish, the space was filled with energy, laughter, and nonstop movement 🔥

Participants showed great enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence as they followed every routine. It was more than just a dance session. It became a space to connect, have fun, and express yourself freely.

A very special shoutout to our amazing instructor, KBSI Boy Fairuz, for leading such a high energy and engaging session. Your passion and guidance truly kept everyone motivated and made the experience enjoyable for all 🙌

Empowering the Next Generation of Innovators!
We’ve officially wrapped up an incredible workshop, and the energy was electric!

In a special collaboration with Leave a Nest Malaysia, with support from Yayasan DIY, we hosted the brilliant young minds from Kolej Datu Patinggi Abang Haji Abdillah with a hands-on activity, here at Makeramai Makerspace.

This session was all about hands-on innovation and exploring entrepreneurial pathways, giving these students a front-row seat to the world of STEM ahead of the main event: Science Castle Malaysia (Sarawak). By aligning with the mission of digital enablement, we are working together to inspire the next wave of local leaders and tech-creatives.

✨ Bridging Education & Industry ✨

On 8 April, Makeramai Makerspace welcomed participants from Politeknik Kuching Sarawak as part of their Industry Expert Enrichment Program (IEEP).

The visit provided students with valuable exposure to the makerspace ecosystem, technological innovation, hands on equipment demonstrations, and knowledge sharing with industry practitioners. From exploring creative spaces to experiencing real world tools and technologies, students gained deeper insights beyond the classroom and a better understanding of how ideas can be transformed into impactful solutions.

We hope this experience sparks new ideas, fuels curiosity, and inspires future creators to push boundaries in technology and innovation 💡

Dino fever took over Makeramai last Sunday! 🦖

On 5 April, our young makers got busy crafting their very own T-Rex at our Dinosaur Cardboard Craft Workshop and let’s just say… the results were ROAR-some 🦕🎨

Hosted by Makeramai Makerspace and delivered by our STEM Delivery Partners, Honey Bee & Kiddo Science, the session was full of creativity, laughter, and hands-on fun 💡

Nothing beats seeing kids so focused, excited, and proud of what they created.
