i won’t pretend the fear of
making our handcrafted beeswax candle
look obsolete wasn’t part of why this took 18 months to launch.

that the second we put out a thing that holds scent for 24 hours, the candle would stop feeling sacred.

that the people who came to us for the beeswax
and scents would feel left behind.
