✨ Do you know your skin type?
Before you dive into a skincare routine or choose any product, this is the very first thing you should know.
Your skin type affects EVERYTHING—what products you should use, how often to cleanse, what ingredients to avoid, and even how makeup sits on your face.
👇 Here’s how to identify your skin type:
---
🌸 1. DRY SKIN
💧 Feels tight or rough, especially after washing
🩶 May appear dull or flaky
❌ Often sensitive to strong products or weather changes
⚠️ Red patches and irritation are common
What to do:
→ Use creamy cleansers and rich moisturizers
→ Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid, glycerin, ceramides
---
🌞 2. OILY SKIN
🛢️ Looks shiny or greasy, especially by midday
🔲 Enlarged pores, especially on forehead, nose, and chin
⚠️ Prone to blackheads, whiteheads, and acne
What to do:
→ Use lightweight, gel-based moisturizers
→ Look for salicylic acid, niacinamide, clay masks
→ Avoid over-washing — it can trigger more oil!
---
🌿 3. COMBINATION SKIN
🌗 Oily in T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), dry or normal on cheeks
🔄 Breakouts in some areas, dryness in others
⚠️ Pores can be large in some zones and fine in others
What to do:
→ Use different products on different areas if needed
→ Balance your routine: gentle cleanser, hydrating toner, light moisturizer
→ Avoid overly harsh exfoliants
---
🍃 4. SENSITIVE SKIN
🥺 Easily irritated by new products or weather
🔴 Redness, stinging, or burning sensations
⚠️ Often reacts to fragrance, alcohol, or active ingredients
What to do:
→ Stick to fragrance-free, minimal-ingredient products
→ Introduce new products slowly (patch test first!)
→ Look for calming ingredients like aloe vera, oat extract, centella asiatica
---
💡 Still not sure? Try this test:
1. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser.
2. Wait 30 minutes—don’t apply anything.
3. Observe how your skin feels:
Tight and dull = Dry
Shiny = Oily
Shiny T-zone but dry cheeks = Combination
Redness or irritation = Sensitive
