Let’s dive and explore the beautiful shores of Lebanon! The Black Stingray is the highlight of the 7th video in our “Let’s Dive and Explore!” series.
Stingray fossils date back to the Jurrassic era, over 150 million years ago! Those fascinating creatures have no bones and their body is made of flexible cartilage that allows them to move smoothly in the sea. Rays are related to sharks. Their eyes are on top of their body and their mouth is below. Their mouth has natural sensors! They have specialized, gel-filled pits across the front of their face that give them the ability to catch electromagnetic signals of other fish when they move!
