After a long time, I have finally completed Rick Sanchez, one of the most requested characters by my fans.
Turning a hand-drawn animated character into a fully articulated 3D printable model is never easy. This project remained unfinished for quite some time, but I could no longer ignore the many requests from the community, so I decided it was finally time to bring Rick to life.
The biggest challenge was his extremely thin arms and legs, which made it difficult to design durable articulated joints. After experimenting with several different mechanisms, I adopted a filament-based joint system. The results were surprisingly effective, and I expect to use this technique in future designs as well.
Assembly is not particularly difficult, but please pay close attention to the left and right parts during assembly. Be sure to remove all supports before folding the model. There are also a few support sections that need to be removed after folding, so please check the assembly instructions carefully.
This is only the beginning! I plan to release additional face expressions, hands, and accessories in the future, so stay tuned for more updates.
To all the Rick and Morty fans who have patiently waited for this project, thank you for your support. I hope you enjoy bringing Rick Sanchez to life on your own 3D printer!
