There was a girl who like creating stories and inventing characters and their living world. She was living in a small town of Quebec and wish that one day she would have her own shop. But not knowing really how to do so and see this more as a dream she lived her life like everybody else. Fifteen years later, the girl has grown up and became what I am today. But, between the time I was this girls d
reaming about creating a shop and now as I open Fabulami, I must say that few unforeseen events made a big change in my destiny. But relating all this would be too long and I might end up having you bored instead. Let's just say that I always loved art and craft since a very young age. I particularly like things that have a natural feeling (like cotton, wool, wood, etc.) In 2009, I moved to Japan in pure interest for the country. For me, Japan felt like home pretty quickly. As many foreigners in the country, I was employed as an English teacher and could make use of my creativity in planning classes and events for the children. But still, the crafting part of the job couldn't satisfy my hunger for crafting and I would also craft and write during my free time. In December 2013, I decided to make a hooded snood as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. I would hid in cafés to make it so he wouldn't see it before Christmas. Some strangers asked me if they could order an exact same one or how much would I be willing to sell it to them. I was pretty happy and thought how nice it would be to have my own shop. At the same time I end up encountering Etsy and so I started working on my own shop. Six months later, here I am presenting you Fabulami, a shop where my stories and characters take lives to meet you. I must admit I have a lot of fun creating all of them and I just hope that you will have as much fun visiting my shop. Have a good visit!
