LOCCAオンラインストアでは新たに机上工芸舎の星野友里さんの作品を取り扱わせていただくことになりました！

星野さんは長い間、気になっていた作家さんです。一見すると可愛らしい印象も受ける柔らかい作品が多いのですが、星野さんと話をするたび、むしろカッコいい印象が強くなりました。
⁡
こだわって手びねりの技法で作陶しているところや、内に秘めた作品への情熱、絵画的であったり、物語性があったり、独特の世界観があります。そして使い方によって卓上の景色が変わるような、おおらかさや自由さを感じます。

個人的にはほっこりではない、黒やダークグレーなどのリネンでシックなテーブルコーディネートにするのもおすすめです。

耐熱のBakewareは2サイズ、小さめマグのWaiting cup、たっぷりサイズのTumbler、絵画のようなPainting plateがオンラインストアで販売中です。

New potteries from Yuri Hoshino of Kijou Kougeisha are added to our online store.

Ms. Hoshino is an artist whose works have been on my mind for a long time. At first glance, many of her works are soft and gentle, giving a cute impression, but every time I talked with Ms. Hoshino, I got a relatively strong impression of her calm.

She has a unique view of the world, with her persistence in using the hand-building technique and her passion for her work, paintings, and stories. I also feel a sense of generosity and freedom, as if the scenery on the table changes depending on how it is used.

8/17よりオンラインストア再開しました。
夏休みは生まれ育った北海道へ。
トンボが飛び、ナナカマドが赤く色づき始め、朝夕は少し肌寒く、秋の気配さえ感じました。
戻ってきた東京は、蒸し暑く、秋はまだまだ先…
残暑見舞い申し上げます。

After the summer vacation, LOCCA online store reopened on August 17.
During the summer vacation, I went to Hokkaido, where I was born and raised.
Dragonflies were flying, the Japanese maples were turning red, and the mornings and evenings were chilly, so I even felt a hint of autumn.
It was hot and humid in Tokyo when I returned, and autumn is still a long way off...

長年の経験をいかし、職人さんの手で1膳1膳仕上げられた箸先は直径約1mm。軽くて丈夫な竹箸は本当に使いやすく、お店で取り扱う前から個人的にも愛用している、おすすめのお箸です！

福岡にいる友人から畑で採れた空豆が沢山送られてきました！今年も豆板醤仕込みました〜
半年後が楽しみ。
先ずは新鮮な空豆とグリーンピースをパスタで堪能😋

3年ぶりの益子陶器市が4/29から5/8まで開催されています。
初日は雨だったにもかかわらず、約4万人が訪れたそうです。
今日は爽やかな晴天で、コロナ前のような人の出！
それでも実際に開催されるかどうかは直前までわからなかったそうなので、出展者側もスケジュールを立てるのが大変だろうなと感じました。
私も久しぶりに会う作家さんもいて、再会を喜ぶ一方、コロナ禍の変化についてついつい話し込んでしまいました。
ともあれ、関東周辺に住む方達にには連休を楽しめる近場としてとてもおすすめです。陶磁器など様々な手工芸品、食べ物を楽しむだけでなく、水がはられた田んぼなど田園風景の美しさも見所のひとつ。
皆さま、楽しいゴールデンウィークを。

The Mashiko Pottery Fair, the first in three years, is being held from April 29 to May 8.
Despite the rain on the first day, about 40,000 people visited the market.
Today is a refreshingly sunny day, and it's a huge crowd.
Even so, I felt it was difficult for some exhibitors to make their schedules, as they did not know the event would actually be held or not.
Some of the artists I hadn't seen in a while, so we talked about the changes that have occurred in the wake of the Corona disaster.
Anyway, I highly recommend this exhibition as a nearby place for those who live in the Kanto area to enjoy the holidays. You could enjoy to find potteries, wood works, foods, and also the beauty of the country landscape is a must-see.
