The harsh reality is someone, somewhere, will be against this idea of treating, educating, and truly rehabilitating the so called domestic terrorist - the gang banger.
As I mentioned earlier, if we don't fight to cure our problems that affect all of our communities, then it is as if we are choosing a dangerous situation for ourselves and our children. Why wait for the rebellious ten year old, whom everyone has labeled a problem child, to become fed up with concepts that he or she doesn't understand. Soon the child becomes fifteen years of age, and you are no longer calling him or her a problem child, now they are the monsters that you read about in the papers and see on the news.
That little boy you refused to treat car jacks you one day while you are out for a drive. Or maybe it's grocery shopping time and he holds you and everybody else in the store at gun point.
You put up a fight. There's a struggle. You want to protect your possessions and your loved ones, l get it .... I do. But this is the dangerous way of protecting what's yours. Don't think for one second that this fifteen year old kid, turned monster, is not going to shoot you. He's going to shoot you and everybody else who gets in his way.

Is this behavior okay? Absolutely not! What has influenced this child to make him or her think that such a course of action is okay? Society's normal response is to have the child locked away, which will allow our criminal justice system the opportunity to ruin the child even further.
The child goes into the system as a misguided and hard nosed teen, then comes out seasoned and more hardened as an adult..
