Refined Linseed Oil

Refined Linseed Oil is used in oil paintings. It is slows down the drying time of the paint, which can be very useful when you are painting in layers.

How to use?
Add refined linseed oil to the paint, to thin its consistency and slow the drying time. If you choose to glaze, it's best to add less linseed oil to your early layers so that they dry faster. As you continue to increase layers, you can add more refined linseed oil.

Fixative Spray

Fixative Spray is a much needed protection solution for all the dry drawing mediums. It is suitable for a variety of mediums like soft/ dry pastels, charcoal, oil pastels, pencils, crayons, etc. Fixative will form a transparent non-removable protective film on the surface after drying.

How to use?
Flick away any large loose particles present on the artwork. Spray the Fixative by standing 3-4 feet away from the artwork, in smooth continuous horizontal strokes. Allow the artwork to dry and apply a second coat, working in a vertical motion this time and allow it to dry.

Pouring Medium

Pouring Medium is a substance which is used to
help improve the consistency of acrylic paints by
allowing them to pour more fluidly. Essentially,
mixing pouring medium with your acrylic paints
transforms them so that you can create amazing
acrylic pour art.

How to use?
For best pours, start with with a tablespoon of
acrylic paint to a cup of Pouring Medium (around
5% paint to 95% medium and adapt to suit your
technique. To use it with Acrylic Ink or Heavy Body
Acrylic Paints, adjust ratio to get your desired
consistency. Stir gently to avoid creating foam. If
bubbles appear, leave it to sit while the bubbles
rise and disappear.

Gel Medium

Gel Medium is a white, paste-like gel that will thicken your paint so that it retains brushstrokes, which is great for impasto techniques. Gel Medium is used to increase transparency of the paint and give a gloss finish.

How to use?
Using a palette knife mix your final paint with the gel medium. Initially when you mix the the gel medium with paint, it will act as white colour and hence will make your paint’s shade look a bit different. But once the mixture dries up, the actual shade of the paint is retained with increased transparency and gloss.

Masking Fluid

Masking fluid, also referred to as liquid frisket, is a latex-based medium used to block out small areas and fine lines where you want to prevent pigment absorption.

How to use?
A mask can be applied with a ruling pen or fine-point stick. It can also be applied with a brush—but use an inexpensive one, since this sticky medium can clog up the bristles.
It is also best to remove the masking fluid as soon as possible to limit its absorption into the paper; you do this by gently rubbing it off with clean fingers or a putty eraser.
