About Us:

With her training in design and knowledge of art history as well as maintaining the Royal families tradition of supporting cultural fields such as art, music, literature etc she endeavours to bring Kishangarh art to a mo

re global audience. The studio is an amalgamation of old aesthetic and techniques with new materials and concepts. Housed in Phool Mahal Palace Hotel at the foot of the Kishangarh fort, giving the artist an ideal inspirational environment to work in. The studios aim is twofold, Firstly to preserve the traditional form of miniature painting by giving employment to local artist many of whom have had this vocation in their family for generations, and secondly to introduce new ideas to revitalise traditional art by introducing new themes, exploring Indian mythology and the influence on ‘Radha Krishna’ in art as well as diversifying into new product areas. Such traditions endure only through continued support for the artists who practise them. Patronage provides craftsmen with the time, respect, and economic security needed to sustain their work. Every purchase, commission, conversation, or act of sharing does more than preserve an art form it helps protect a livelihood, honour a history, and keep a living cultural legacy alive.

Miniature painting has a long history in India, evolving through royal courts, manuscripts, temples, and ateliers over centuries. Though called “miniatures,” they are not simply small paintings. They are highly detailed works of art, created with extraordinary precision on paper, cloth, and other surfaces. From stories of love and devotion to scenes of royalty, nature, and everyday life, each painting carries a world within it.

Rooted in the language of the Kishangarh school of painting, our approach is simple, keep what matters, and let the rest evolve.

The aim is to make these forms feel relevant today, while still holding on to where they come from.

Inspired by the lush poetry of Persian gardens, this hand painted cotton artwork brings together the elegance of miniature painting with a more contemporary, vibrant palette. Each tree is imagined with its own personality, its own rhythm, blooming in harmony across rolling hills of colour. The piece feels almost like a dream you’ve wandered into where nature speaks softly, the seasons blend into one another, and beauty exists simply for the joy of being seen.
