The Crazy Aloe Vera

One of my early memories of my father is of him giving me a piece of aloe vera to eat.

We had a small garden around our house.

My father would bring various seeds and plants from his work visits around India and plant them.

He had grown aloe vera.

After he returned from work around 4pm he would clean the garden.

I would return from school around the same time and I were found around him, I would become a part of these small daily adventures.

The first of which was eating the slimy aloe vera pulp.

I was little then and didn't think much of it.

Now I feel almost superhuman to have tried that as a kid.

Magical Hibiscus

I cannot express enough the love I feel for these pretty flowers.

Growing up we had a few hibiscus plants in our garden and they would be laden with these lovely flowers.

Sometimes we'd crush them and apply that to our hair. Couldn't say that I particularly like it, But it does have its benefits.

The hibiscus is a favourite flower of Lord Ganesha. We used to make garlands for adorning the house deity with it.
