Finally done!
Yeah, it’s election day in Delhi today, and I am a first-time voter.
I was very excited about it, and I think everyone who is voting for the first time feels the same!
There was a time when we used to think that when we became adults, we would get our PAN Card, Voter ID card, passport, there was a different excitement for it!
And then the time comes and passes!
Standing in a long queue for voting and listening to the thoughts of the people around you, I quietly observed how people think.
Sometimes I get frustrated when people put their loved ones in the line, making it longer, and telling the police officer, "Mera pehle vote karwa do" :)
But at the same time, I felt very proud when senior citizens, especially those who are handicapped or have serious health issues, still came to vote on wheelchairs and with supporting handles.
I think if they can come in such situations despite Delhi's scaring temperature, we, the youth of the country, should have no excuse not to vote.
Finally, after a long wait in the queue, the official checks your name on the electoral list and puts that ink on your left-hand finger.
I think this is what I am very excited about!
It was a different experience, and then I entered the voting area and pressed the button for my desired party.
It was a unique feeling, something we've been waiting for since the last 18 years.
Remember the line which I read tomorrow on the internet and it's very important..
"The ballot is stronger than the bullet"
That was my experience, which I wanted to share with my network!
If you are a first-time voter, I would love to know your thoughts.
