My wonder wall!
22 photos contained in an 8 x 4 square of architrave. I should have taken a before pic, there was a line of brown frames across the wall, totally inadequate for 8 children, 18 grandchildren and great grandchildren for weddings, communions, confirmations and graduations, the same as in most households I would think!
The architrave is painted the same as the wall, I got the frames in HomeStore & More before Christmas. They had a selection of sizes in the same type of frame and were also the cheapest 😁, a couple of mottoes a lot of Command strips, as this is a solid concrete wall and picture hooks/tacks were not suitable.
I have a second wall to do, so will take before and after pics of that.

Totally over the chalk paint!
I hated the whole waxing, buffing, waxing part and, because I had actually been using chalk paint for a few years I began to realise it just did not wear well and the wax gave off a smell if near heat or an open fire!
I changed to using eggshell, a durable ,hard wearing paint and, when its done, its done!
Multi coloured and antique white ,I'm also so over! My new fave colour is Bleached Lichen, a rich, warm shade that enhances both walls and furniture.
Bleached Lichen is a Dulux colour, available to mix in about 4 varying degrees of the colour, and finishes, including eggshell☺
I picked up this Rossmore TV cabinet, in a mahogany veneer, bit worse for wear as it was in 2 halves in a hayshed in Kerry!
Brought home, scrubbed with sugar soap, 2 coats of Bleached Lichen eggshell, new handles and lights.
I love it ❤, its bright and functional, the finish is hard wearing and has just a very slight sheen which makes the piece more antique looking than the shiny mahogany veneer did !

Everyone needs some colour in their lives, forget the 50 shades of grey. Try some passionate purple or tantalising turquoise to cheer up your garden furniture!
Not the trade names I hasten to add, the purple is Lidl Pastel Purple, outdoor gloss, I do have it a few months so it may not be still available. The turquoise is Woodies own brand outdoor gloss in Alder. Cheap and cheerfull 💰
The table was originally bought in B&Q, while it was treated timber I hadnt actually done anything to it in nearly 3 years. It had changed colour dramatically this year to a dirty grey and was showing signs of cracking so it was time to touch up.
The brolly is a windy uppy telescopic one, quite large and cost €50 in Home Store & More sale.
The weather changed and I havent been able to sit out since I painted it 😕😕😕

Latest commission piece, gone back to its owner who is delighted with the finished item. I have to say the colour combination is the owners to match recent redecorating.This time I tried using Colortrend Eggshell, which I have to say is a pleasure to use and half the work :-)

Sitting in Siobhans on the Mall in Midleton, enjoying my tea and scrumptious scone when I spotted this on the wall.
On closer inspection it is not one but 2 pictures hung side by side, makes an interesting effect .
It could also be worked with old window frames by adding wallpaper inside or using the window frames to open up an alcove or old press and making it into a book press!

Still a work in progress but looki😤ng a bit better!
