Quick sound sample of an available 12.5" Red Deer hide drum. A harder attack than goat hide but still loads of base and very pronounced Pops. Easy to manipulate and play.

This is actually my first ever cross bar and I am very pleased with how it has turned out. I didn't want to drill through the shell so I made special mounts to attach it to the tuning system with no visible screws.

Sound sample of AVAILABLE red deer skin drum. I have seen a lot of great videos lately reminding me of the more traditional style of Bodhrán playing, a style that I have unfortunately moved away from in the past few years. This drum and skin has inspired me to work on this style of playing again and add it back into my tool kit 👍

Something told me not to tape the playing area of this drum and I'm delighted I listened. Sound sample coming next. A lovely traditional, hard crack off this skin but also plenty of wild resonance and low end.
