I am delighted to be a finalist in the Irish Micro Business Awards 2026 in the Over 50s category.
This nomination means a great deal to me. As some of you may know, I spent over 35 years working as a retail manager with Boots in UK and Ireland While I loved my career, art was actually my first dream all those years ago!
I never imagined that in my 50s I would finally come full circle and start my own creative business, Margaret Rattigan Art. To be recognised for taking that leap at this stage of my life makes this nomination especially meaningful.
A huge congratulations to all the finalists across every category. It is wonderful to see so many inspiring Irish businesses being recognised for their hard work, creativity and determination.

I am running one workshop each day at the Senior Times LIVE SLIGO 50 PLUS show taking place Radisson hotel Sligo the 1st and 2nd of July.
The workshops are free to attend. However you must register to attend the event ( click on link below ) and then follow instructions to book on to the workshop

Delighted my 3 paintings sold in the incognito Art Sale! INCOGNITO has been running for 10 years, This is my 5th year taking part. Always a pleasure!! I did treat myself to an Artwork!! cant wait for it to arrive and see who painted it! and of course I always wonder who buys mine!! hope they love them as I loved painting them!😍😍

I was blown away that I nearly sold out of the handmade Art bracelets that I posted on facebook last Sunday! and delighted other paintings and designs were requested. I have been busy making new batches and they are up on my website now.
Each bracelet is designed from one of my paintings. I choose sections of the paintings for the bracelet bezels, add a little gold foil and seal with a glass cabouchon. I then attach them to the bracelet.
Chain and bezels are stainless steel.
Gift box included.
I will have these handmade Art Bracelets with me at Sligo Indoor Market this Sunday.

Thank you The Sligo Champion for the feature! I am now canopy in sligo for one extra day Friday the 7th of November... finishing up 5pm Friday!! I wont be back in the Pod this side of Christmas ( though you can find me at various Markets including the Sligo Hub indoor market each Sunday)
