GCurran Design

GCurran Design Gregory has a broad and open outlook to design & works with Clients at all stages of the design process to achieve the desired outcome.

I love all aspects of design. I do not remember a time when I did not think about the way things look and why they are the way they are. As a child and young adult I lived in various Countries and Cities; Peru, Switzerland (Basel & Lausanne), Cork, Dublin and London. I started my formal education in Basel, Switzerland where I studied Design at the ‘Kunst Gewerbe Schule’, through German. On returni

ng to Ireland I studied Visual Communications & Production Design at the Dun Laoghaire College of Art & Design, graduating in 1995. After graduating I worked for Milner Office Furniture as a Space Planner and Interior Designer, which subsequently lead to a position as an Interior Designer with Burke-Kennedy Doyle Architects. I set up my own Design practice in 2008. I have always been passionate about design and feel strongly that different areas complement and enhance other areas of design. My graphic and production design background has stood to me in my career as an Interior Designer. Due to my background I have a broader and more open outlook to design. I often come at a concept from an entirely different angle to someone with a more Architectural background. I am used to working under pressure, to tight deadlines and budgets, as well as working within a team. I am broad minded, optimistic and energetic. I work closely with Clients at all stages of the design process, we work as a team to achieve the desired outcome. I am also a visiting Lecturer in the Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology teaching 3D Spatial Design, as part of the Visual Communications BA course.
