Shouldn’t the whole world celebrate NYEPI 🔥 👹

Wouldn’t it be amazing to see a sky full of stars, uninterrupted by any light pollution ? 💫 ⭐️

Tonight in Bali we celebrate Ngerupuk, the night before Nyepi, where the streets fill with loud sounds, fire 🔥 , and the ogoh-ogoh 👹 👹. paper-mâché demons carried through the villages to cleanse negative energy and restore balance before the new year.

Tomorrow begins Nyepi, the Balinese New Year, based on ancient ancestral traditions that have been followed here for centuries.

For the next 24 hours the entire island will go silent.
No fire.🔥
No electricity.
No motor vehicles.
No leaving the house.

The streets stay empty so the negative forces pass by without disturbance,
and the island can reset in stillness.

A day to meditate, reflect, and cleanse.
A day to let the earth rest, let the mind rest, and make space for a new year to begin.

Imagine if the whole world paused like this, even for one day 🪷.
