Flameworking is glass shaped in fire with detail and precision.
Using a torch over 3000°F, rods of glass are softened and worked by hand, each small movement controlled in the moment. While traditional glassblowing engages the whole body in a process to create large glass objects , flameworking allows for delicate, highly detailed creations.
From glass flowers to small sculptural forms, every piece is meticulously formed in the flame, with no two pieces ever the same.

AEfolio was honoured to support the Design Trust Charity Benefit 2026, themed “The Art of Movement.”

Design Trust is a non-profit organisation that supports design and architecture through grant-making, community engagement and supporting creative expression throughout Hong Kong and the surrounding region. Through their annual flagship fundraising event, patrons and creative leaders come together to support initiatives that amplify the power of design in the community.
At the event, Ms. Nora Leung was recognised for her outstanding contributions to architecture and urban landscape in Hong Kong, including her seminal work on the Lippo Centre.

To commemorate the occasion, Ms. Nora Leung received a handblown glass bowl from AEfolio,presented by Ms. Marisa Yiu and members of the Design Trust Board.

Also honoured Lord Norman Foster with the 2026 Design Trust Legacy Award, recognising his lasting impact on Hong Kong and global architecture through Foster + Partners. In a keynote dialogue, he reflected on the HSBC Main Building and shared his vision of design as a force for shaping resilient, human-centred cities.

Inspired by movement and light, the handcrafted glass pieces reflect the spirit of the evening — celebrating design, creativity, and lasting impact.
