So when Rue Michelle was commissioned to help decorate the most important American History museum in the world the Williamsburg museum had an Endowment to restore 2 Historical Homes@in a Classical Style.

So I provided many antiques for this Historic Project as they were so impressed by what I did in my Historic Victorian Hone I respirated in Highpoint.

Next to decorating the Whitehouse whom my mentors protege Michael Smith decorated it .

This project was far is the most important American museum next to the Whitehouse Google it.

I thought that was the end level untuil I got a call last week to buy a or of Italian painted cabinets I had online.

I sold them to a client whom is restoring a@major Historic Texas property where one of the most@famous Battles of Texas History wa si. Her backyard.

A major project and I was delighted to sell my cabinets for the owners bedroom and even more encouraged to help source pieces for them .

To me hard work in the heat is relaxing, love the tropical 105 temp actually.

Got the Blue Hills landscape guys to cut my grass on my corner property in Roundtop being fluent in Spanish helps. He does alot of work there and everywhere if you need anyone.

Then loaded the truck to Jeckell Island.
Went to the resturant to show them how to scrub a floor ad I was already warmed up .

They got a Steam cleaner and were all happy it didn’t clean much at all.

I use to clean 80 foot Military Air Sea rescue boats the were transformed into fishing boats. 80 foot long 20 foot wide, we would go out 135 miles catch 150 yellowfin tuna , albacore and Mahi and guess had to clean up the mess? Yes me. Not even a scale 3 cm long was left.

So on the fishing boats we used 1 cup of Dawn and 3 cups of bleach you literally squeeze the bottle for 30 seconds and make a bubble bath.

My friend Suzette in the video is the best lamp maker in Texas for 40 years she was Dallas tip lady she moved to Roundtop with her partner. Biught a house. Had a stroke and could not make her payments , she lost her house to the tax people now lives in a trailer so she is in between jobs until the show so she took the job of scrubbing the floor I wasn’t going to let her do that.

A few things available. The lamps are nice and so is the Credenza. It’s from the Biddler Eatate speaking of boats. I’m waxing it in 105 degree heat.

It’s been a busy week Last Sunday I did the Longbeach or as this girl once told me it’s called Longbitch And I now know why .

This flee market has 800 dealers and you have to line your car up the day before , some leave and go sleep at there house but I’m 100 miles away and you use your place in line.

Sooo everyone sleeps in there front seat. How I don’t know. I brought some cardboard up and a large sheet to put on the street yes just like a transient!

Position myself 5 feet in back of the car in front of me so if he backs up he won’t run me over

I’ve done this before as I’m 6 foot 1 and can’t sleep in a front seat of a packed car I need to lay flat.

I placed the sheet as wide as I could so the “ ants won’t find me and places a rag over my head that had coffee solit on it , Oh nooooooo I use sugar in my coffeee

About 2 am I start feeling them 1 by one crawl on me

That’s it. Back to the car tried to stretch out. No way 3 am. That’s it. All the stuff out of the Mercades on the street put the blanket in a large rolled up ball on the gas petal for the legs to be elevated. Recline the leather Mercedes seat back to almost flat. Great 20 min of sleep.

Then here comes the gate people loud with machines noisy Here come the loud talkers. Here comes the food truck with all jacked up on coffee at 4 amF**k it im up now.

Had a goood show sold some stuff.

You win some but loose most, spent the whole day going to my friends Truck, van heavy duty junk yard in San Diego to get a windshield for the head Mobil mechanic in Roundtop.

The plan was to have my shipper meet me at my house and the beach. Load my antiques from the house , put the windshield in the truck. , drop off at my property in Roundtop. Have the mechanic meet him there.

Well like a long fishing trip “
It looks good on paper” but Mother Nature is a different accountant .

Thr windshield was angled and the wind caught it on the freeway and it folded in half. Glad it wasn’t that 3-5 k painting in the roof last week

Im going to bring back the station wagon from Texas so I don’t have to drive the Mercedes on daily trips .

Always love visiting my friend . I’ve been in love with this 2nd Century AD Roman Mosaic piece ( Panther fighting a Bull) for 17 years. It’s Available if you have any super Special Clients.

My friends Dad spoke 9 languages, read 30,000 books. I personally saw 1000 of them.

Drove a Jeep from Paris to Asia. And had Belly Dancers at Parties. Highly Educated !!!and Adventurous!

Upon his many travels. Way way way before the internet 1940s-1970s. He picked up many “
Period pieces”. Of course the mast majority are long sold there is a few pieces still lingering to the family members.

Of them are obviously the Roman piece probably from the Roman Coliseum, then This pair of limestone Spanish Releifs. And of course this very Early Islamic piece .
