Some entrepreneurs in Ghana say EMPLOYEES are BAD
But there’s one question nobody asks themselves first.
This is what I mean 👇🏾
I see this all the time.
Entrepreneurs hire someone, give them vague instructions and expect them to figure it out.
They start to complain:
"They don't know what they're doing."
"I have to do everything myself."
"Good employees are impossible to find in Ghana"
Here's the truth:
Good employees aren't found BUT they're created.
By you.
If your team isn't performing, ask yourself:
→ Did I clearly explain what success looks like?
→ Did I show them how to do it, or just tell them to do it?
→ Did I give them feedback when they made mistakes?
→ Did I document the process so they can reference it?
→ Did I create an environment where they can ask questions?
Or did I just hire them and hope for the best?
Training isn't a one-time orientation. Companies spend millions of dollars on training their employees, it's only in this part of the world that we see training as not importamt, it is in fact very important
It's:
→ Showing them the right way to do things
→ Letting them practice with feedback
→ Correcting mistakes without destroying confidence
→ Documenting processes so knowledge doesn't live only in your head
→ Creating systems they can follow
Most entrepreneurs skip all of this.
Then wonder why their team is "incompetent."
Your team is only as good as the training you give them.
If you haven't invested time in training, you don't get to complain about their performance.
If you want better employees, become a better trainer.
You'll be shocked at how "incompetent" employees become excellent when you actually train them properly.
