THE PRINCE OF PEACE

A Story by Kingsley Alfred

Episode 1

The kingdom of Amadike was known throughout the land for its beauty, wealth, and peace. At the center of this prosperous kingdom was Prince Chidi, the only son of the aging king. Unlike many princes who dreamed of war and conquest, Chidi believed in unity, kindness, and justice. Because of his gentle nature, the people fondly called him "The Prince of Peace."

One bright morning, Chidi rode through the village market, greeting traders and farmers. The people smiled whenever they saw him. Children ran after his horse, laughing and waving.

Among the crowd stood Kenneth, a young scholar who had recently returned to the kingdom after years of studying in a distant city. Kenneth was intelligent, confident, and admired by many. He watched as Chidi interacted with the villagers and couldn't help but be impressed.

"That is a prince who truly cares about his people," Kenneth said quietly.

Not far away stood Isaac, Chidi's childhood friend and personal guard. Isaac was brave, loyal, and always protective of the prince. He noticed Kenneth staring and approached him.

"You seem interested in the prince," Isaac said.

Kenneth smiled. "Only because I've never seen a royal behave with such humility."

Isaac nodded. "That's Chidi. He believes peace is stronger than fear."

Later that day, the king announced a royal gathering. Important leaders, scholars, and warriors from neighboring kingdoms were invited to discuss the future of Amadike.

To everyone's surprise, Kenneth was selected to represent the scholars. When he entered the royal hall, his eyes met Chidi's for the first time.

"Welcome to the palace," Chidi said warmly.

"Thank you, Your Highness," Kenneth replied.

As the meeting continued, Chidi was impressed by Kenneth's wisdom. Kenneth, in turn, admired the prince's vision for a peaceful kingdom. Isaac observed their growing friendship from a distance, wondering what role Kenneth would play in the future of Amadike.

Unknown to them, dark forces were already plotting against the kingdom. Hidden enemies believed that peace was a weakness and were preparing to challenge everything Chidi stood for.

As the sun set over the palace, Chidi stood on the balcony overlooking the kingdom.

"The future of Amadike depends on the choices we make today," he said.

Neither Kenneth nor Isaac knew that their lives were about to change forever.

Imaginary Love

A Story by Kingsley Alfred

Episode 1: The Stranger in My Dreams

The evening rain fell gently over the city as Daniel sat by his bedroom window. The sky was painted in shades of gray, and the sound of raindrops tapping against the glass seemed to whisper secrets only the clouds could understand.

Daniel was a quiet young man who spent most of his time reading novels and sketching pictures. While others his age enjoyed crowded parties and loud gatherings, he preferred peaceful moments alone.

For weeks, however, something unusual had been happening.

Every night, Daniel dreamed about the same person.

The stranger had a warm smile, kind eyes, and a calm voice that always seemed familiar. Yet Daniel had never met him in real life. In every dream, they would walk through beautiful gardens, talk about their hopes, and laugh together as if they had known each other forever.

When Daniel woke up, the memories remained clear.

"Who are you?" he often wondered.

One Saturday morning, Daniel visited a local bookstore. It was his favorite place in town. As he browsed through the shelves, a book slipped from the top rack and landed at his feet.

At the same moment, another hand reached for it.

"Sorry," a voice said.

Daniel looked up.

His heart skipped a beat.

Standing before him was a young man whose face looked exactly like the stranger from his dreams.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

The young man smiled.

"You can have the book," he said.

Daniel shook his head quickly.

"No, it's okay. You saw it first."

The stranger laughed softly.

"I'm Michael."

Daniel swallowed nervously.

"I'm Daniel."

Something felt different about that moment. It was as if destiny had quietly arranged the meeting.

The two young men spent the next hour talking about books, movies, and life. To Daniel's surprise, every conversation felt effortless.

Before leaving, Michael handed Daniel a small note.

"It was nice meeting you," he said. "Maybe we can talk again sometime."

Daniel watched him walk away before unfolding the note.

Inside was a phone number and a simple message:

"Some meetings feel like they were meant to happen."

As Daniel stared at the words, he couldn't stop smiling.

But deep inside, a question remained.

How could someone from his dreams suddenly appear in real life?

To be continued...Questions for Readers

1. Do you think Daniel's dreams mean something important?

2. Why do you think Michael seemed so familiar to Daniel?

3. Was their meeting a coincidence or destiny?

4. If you were Daniel, would you call Michael immediately?

5. What do you think will happen in Episode 2?
