108 mala project focuses on making handmade knotted mala necklaces and wrist malas used for meditation and yoga. Our woods and gemstones are mindfully sourced from conflict free family farms committed and dedicated to long term sustainability. We have designed our knotted malas to balance and strengthen your mind, body, soul and spirit energy. Each of our malas are handmade by us (Cara and Adam) a

nd we have made them all with love. A mantra has been said each time we string a new bead and tie a knot. We want to be considerate to all our customers and their requirements, so all our jewelry has been made with vegetarian hands in a smoke free, calm and peaceful environment. We are two Canadians that have been living in China for the last 12 years and now live on the sunny island of Hainan. We have traveled every corner of Asia in search of the perfect mala supplies, gemstones and wood beads. Cool girls have cool jobs. ✨

People see the markets. They don’t always see everything that happens before the market.

Designing new collections. Hand-knotting every mala. Testing ideas. Packing thousands of pieces. Loading the trailer. Driving for hours. Applying to juried shows and crossing our fingers. Building displays. Setting up before sunrise. Smiling for 10 hours straight. Meeting incredible people. Hearing your stories. Making new friends. Packing it all up… then doing it all again the next weekend.

And honestly? I love it.

It’s creative, it’s fast-paced, it’s a little chaotic in the best way. It keeps me inspired, keeps me moving, and reminds me why I started in the first place. Even on the long days, I feel so grateful to be doing something I genuinely enjoy.

Here’s to all the makers, artists, dreamers, and small business owners building the life they imagined. 💛
