Golden River Carrot Cake 🥕. Little pick me up for these gloomy English summer mornings!

Cake ingredients:

Golden Duck rapeseed oil
Carrots
Eggs
Self raising flour Flour
Sugar
Cinnamon
Walnuts
Lavender

For icing you will need icing sugar and cream cheese. Add splash of Golden Duck oil to make it even more fluffy and delicious!

Step 1. Add flour, grated carrots and sugar into mixing bowl and stir stir stir!

Step 2. Add eggs and Golden Duck rapeseed oil. If mixture is not wet enough, add splash of plant milk!

Step 3. Pop it in the oven for 160’C for 75min.

Step 4. Icing! Stir icing sugar with cream cheese and add splash of Golden Duck rapeseed oil for more buttery finish.

When cake is finish wait for it to cool and style it the way you want it! We choose pizza cake style and decorated it with fresh lavender and chopped walnuts. Yummy 😋

Easy like a Sunday morning! Embrace nature in this light but filling Sunday Summer Toast. Or anytime you need a relaxed me time!

Lavender has been used as ornamental plant for centuries but it is a very flavoursome herb. You can make a tea or oil or eat it fresh.
We grow a lot of lavender on our family farm! Not only it calms your nervous system but is full of vitamin A (great for eyesight support), iron and calcium.
We love it when eaten fresh as its slight bitterness complements creamy and nutty texture of Golden Duck oil.

For lavender dressing:

Fresh lavender (few stalks)
Golden Duck oil
Himalayan salt

For the toast:

Multi seed bread (or any toast of your choice)
Saint-Marcellin cheese (available )
Dash of oil
Toaster (or over if you prefer your toast melted!)

Pick some lavender and chop chop chop it all. Thin, thick pieces or maybe a mixture of both. Add a dash of Golden Duck oil and stir in Himalayan salt into the mixture.

Toast multigrain bread (or any!) and throw few drops of Golden Duck oil on it. Spread delicious Saint-Marcellin cheese (take it out of the fridge 10-20min before spreading) and top it off with the lavender dressing. Splash some lemon on top if you wish!

Definitely YES! So why not swap it for our delicious and local single estate Rapeseed Oil!

We called it ‘ The Weekender Smoothie ‘ 🥤
Some vitamins are fat soluble and introducing few drops of our oil will not only improve a texture of your smoothie (oh yes it’s creamy and smooth!) but also help your body to absorb all of the vitamins water and fat soluble.

Rapeseed oil is rich in Vitamin E (which is fat soluble) which not only will help your skin to be radiant, nails to be healthy but could also prevent cardiovascular diseases. It helps with inflammation and studies found that it can significantly reduce risk of dementia.

Try this quick rich h**p smoothie recipe if you are constantly on a go (like us!):

One banana
Oat & H**p Milk ( is perfect)
Filtered water
Shelled h**p (we love )
The Super Elixir daily greens by
Golden Duck
Blender

In terms of water and milk quantities, choose what suits you best. If your goal is to feel fuller for longer then opt for 70/30 mix of milk and water. If you prefer to keep it lighter choose more water then milk! We went half half and ended up with 400ml mixture.

Throw banana, about three table spoons of shelled h**p seeds (or less), oat and h**p milk and let it sit for couple of minutes. It brings milk to slightly better temperature if using staring out of the fridge.

Add two teaspoons of daily greens. It has a great flavour (it actually does taste great even with water!) and supplies your body with all of the greens, minerals and probiotics you need!

Now our favourite part! Dash of Golden Duck rapeseed oil and top it up with filtered water.
Dress with celery stick. It looks good and its peppery flavour complements nuttiness of your smoothie!
