A great day out that you can do along with visiting Open Studios this weekend on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th on Drovers Day.

Despite the road being closed on the high street you can still reach all the studios by using Linton Road to get to those on the Spofforth side of Wetherby and the Wetherby bypass road to reach York Road and Oakwood Road Studios.

Just 4 of the artists currently in the joint exhibition of members of Artists Around Wetherby being held in Wetherby Framing Company, on until the end of the month.

The group also has an exhibition in Wetherby Town Hall this Saturday 23rd May where you can chat to some of the artists, pick up a brochure for the event that takes place over the first two weekends of June when 25 artists open their homes or studios to welcome you with Coffee and Cake. We are also asking for you to vote for the best picture on display.

Please say hello to some of the lovely artists taking place in the current exhibition which is a preview for Open Studios 6-7 and 13-14 June.
Our preview exhibition features 14 of the artists, so you can come along, pick up a brochure and decide who's studios you'd like to see.
🎨 Simon and Gary digital artists who blend photography, collage and texture creating layered artworks with photography, paint, and graphics.
Wetherby
works with felt, yarns and fabrics and is inspired by the changing skies and landscapes and hedgerows.
Bardsey
is an artist painting landscapes and creating wildlife in pastels.
Wetherby Gallery
is a mixed media artist using nature as inspiration.

All of the artists will be exhibiting on Wetherby Town Hall for one day only on Sat 23 May, with a special vote for your favourite painting.

This weekend in Wetherby Town Hall on Saturday 23rd we are having an exhibition to launch Open Studios in and around Wetherby on 6th & 7th June and 13th and 14th June. Pop along to see us this Saturday 23rd May to pick up your brochure, plan your route and vote for the best piece of art on show.

Open Studios is only a few weeks away, artists are busy preparing for you to visit. Please visit www.artistsaroundwetherby.com to download a brochure or visit an exhibition in the Town Hall on 23rd May to pick up a brochure and vote for your favourite painting on show.

6th & 7th and 13th & 14th June Open Studios.

Ever fancied painting with like minded arty folk, then why not join us on Sunday 2nd August at the Ings for a painting day 10.30 am – 2.30 pm. We are looking for 50 artists to join us for this lovely day, 10 artists will be shortlisted to take part in the Wetherby Festival Art events taking place in Wetherby Town Hall on Saturday 3rd and 4th October when a winner will be chosen. Free Parking in Wilderness and Station Car Parks on Sundays.

Do we have any artists out there wanting to get involved in the Wetherby Festival by having a craft stall or run an art or craft workshop over the weekend of 3rd and 4th October in Wetherby Town Hall, if so please check out the Festival website to read about the Landscape Competition, Workshops and Art and Craft Fair.

The venue for the competition is South Ings on 2nd August, such a beautiful spot for plein air painting.

Don't forget all our 25 artists are getting ready for our big event of the year Artists Around Wetherby Open Studios on 6th and 7th June and 13th & 14th June 10 - 5 pm . We will be holding an exhibition in Wetherby Town Hall on 23rd May 10 - 4pm when you can see work by all the artists and vote for your favourite piece but most importantly pick up a brochure and plan your route. Please help us to support our charity for this year Alzheimer's Research UK.
