"I've Got You"

Introducing my two kids' favourite snuggly toys from toddler hood (and maybe a favourite one still for one of them as an almost teenager🤫).

Thinking of doing a little series with these guys as I found so much joy in this little piece.

Granparent hugs matter.

This one was a privilege to create. This darling, older man was in end of life care when his daughter asked me to create this for her son. Having lost my own dad, I could imagine all the pain this family was going through... and right before Christmas too. I know that sometimes an image can magnify the pain through the visual reminder of absence.. but I hope this image also brought a little bit of comfort and that one day it will be a beautiful memory of hugs and togetherness. Hugs to this special family ###

As a photographer, I don't like the difference in light between these two images..... but that's what happens when you're trying to squeeze art and then capturing the images into 6 hours (max) of useable light!! I love the cozy winter evenings but it sure does make painting trickier!

Did this piece for my friend's birthday. A fun 5km Santa Run!

Happy New Year! Does 2026 feel just a little futuristic to anyone else?! Although, I guess I kind of find every new year a bit like that 😆

Now that the gifts have been given and opened, I can share the final results of the pieces I have been working on over December ❤️

I deviated from my b&w bread and butter to produce this when I heard what type of art the recipient liked. As always, a privilege to create it. This image pays homage to their grown up children's childhood when days are long but years so very short. I hope this image helps spark happy memories that can be jumped back into even if just for a moment ❤️
