Have you tried the OCM yet?

The Oil Cleansing Method is very effective way of dissolving dirt and impurities, whilst not stripping the skin of its natural oils. Not only was she a true natural beauty, but she was also very ahead of her time when it came to questioning what we ingest through our skin and food on a daily basis. Mum's view was always to keep it natural and simple. It all made a lot of sense to me and it is everything that is about. It is not just the importance of the formula - but the way you apply facial oils, and the amount you use, that can also make a difference. Face oils are wonderfully multifunctional!

Depending on your skin type, oils can be incorporated into your existing skincare routine to super charge the nourishment – e.g. by adding a few drops to your skin cream; or by applying after cleansing and before moisturising.

Alternatively simply replace your cream moisturisers with face oil, as they are supernourishing in themselves - especially as the weather gets warmer and you look for something a bit lighter…

Likewise face oils make skin glow! One of our favourite tricks, if you want a dewier finish to your foundation, is to simply mix a drop or 2 of face oil to your foundation.

It may be hard to believe, but oils are also great for combination and oily complexions too. They bring balance back to the skin.

Face oil is my favourite part of my skincare routine and I always have a bottle of face oil nearby 💛

Where are your products made?

Well... One of the reasons I have been a bit quiet of late is because has moved to be beside the sea 🌊

We are now based in Lyme Regis, on the Jurassic coast. Many of you will know Lyme as a magnet for fossil-hunters, for Mary Anning and more. But it is also a little gem for nature lovers like me, with its unspoilt coastline (aside from landslips!) and crisp sea air that is beautiful and calming. The pace of life here is chilled and sooo very different to Reading. I can genuinely feel the difference it makes to my wellbeing...

And this is where your products are made, freshly and naturally!

I feel very lucky to be able to continue to run my business online, doing something I believe in, thanks to your continued support and loyalty. And although I can’t put a piece of Lyme into your products, I do sprinkle a bit of Lyme’s calming coastal magic into every jar and bottle I produce for you ✨️💛

Nor is it self-indulgence.
Self care means more than just taking care of your body, it is about taking care of your mind, emotions, your social network, looking after your finances, tending to your spiritual needs, and more besides. Think of self-care as the fuel that keeps your motor running. You won't get very far on an empty tank!

So stop for a moment. Take that bath! Read that book, ring a friend. Do something you find nourishing for yourself today. Put your problems on pause and do a little of what makes you happy ✨️
