🌸 Dorset's very own Sea Pink Rosé is back — and it is very limited.
Every year we look forward to the new release of Furleigh Estate's Sea Pink Rosé almost as much as the Nettle Eating Contest at The Bottle Inn or the The Melplash Agricultural Society Show!
Sea Pink is made just down the road from us in Salwayash — five miles from the Jurassic Coast — by Ian and Rebecca at Furleigh Estate. It is a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Rondo, and that stunning crushed cranberry colour comes from the Rondo grape, a rare teinturier variety whose juice is naturally deep pink rather than clear. Fascinating stuff — and utterly delicious.
Lashings of raspberry, redcurrant and cranberry on the nose and palate, balanced by bright citrus acidity. Brilliant as an aperitif, perfect with prawns and a proper job with a coarse Dorset pâté.
There is only one downside to Sea Pink — there is never enough to go round. So if you'd like a bottle, don't hang about. Available on our website, or just drop us a message.
