Well… this is a rather lovely little milestone. 🥹❤️

3,500 of you are now following Sykes Candles!
When you run a small business, every follow, like, comment, share and order genuinely means more than you probably realise.

There have definitely been ups and downs along the way, but I still absolutely love creating my candles and wax melts, experimenting with scents and seeing something I've made with my own two hands heading off to someone else's home. 🕯️

So to every single one of you who follows my little business, has bought from me, recommended me, shared a post or simply given me a bit of encouragement along the way…

I've been working on a little something behind the scenes… 🤍

It's something I've really missed, and something I've wanted to find a way to bring back for a while.

And finally… I think I've found the right way to do it. 🥰

I'm not giving too much away just yet, but in two weeks' time I'll be sharing a little something new for Sykes Candles.

I'm quietly very excited about this one. 🤍

☀️ SOY WAX vs SUMMER HEAT! ☀️

Super early mornings, a few late nights… and finally, another order complete! 🤍

I won’t lie, making candles and wax melts in this heat has been a bit of a challenge! Soy wax can be a temperamental little thing at the best of times, but when the temperatures rise, it definitely likes to keep me on my toes. 😂

I’m very lucky to have air conditioning in my workshop, but even with that running, it’s still been warm! So I’ve been working around the heat — starting earlier, finishing later and doing whatever it takes to get everything made just right.

But here we are… another order finished! 🥰 These will soon be carefully packed up and shipped off to their customer. 🤍

Now… I think I’ve earned a cold drink! 😂☀️

A little weekend stop that made me smile... 🤍

While we were over in Ripon this weekend, I just had to pop into F Tate & Sons Garden Centre to see my products on the shelves.

I honestly still can't quite believe it. Seeing something you've poured so much love, time and care into sitting there ready for people to discover is such a special feeling.

Every wax melt is hand-poured by me, and knowing they're now in a place that so many people visit each week means the absolute world.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Sykes Candles, whether you've bought from me, shared a post, recommended me to a friend or simply cheered me on. Every bit of support has helped make moments like this possible. ❤️

Just a little update from me...

The Sykes Candles workshop will be taking a short break from Sunday 19th July until Tuesday 28th July.

✨ If you'd like to place an order before I close, please do so over the next two days. All orders received before then will be made up and posted on Saturday.

Any orders placed from Sunday 19th onwards are more than welcome, but they won't be processed until 28th July, when I'm back in the workshop.
