Every colony has its legends...
Meet Radabat 💚💖

Unlike the other bats, Radabat is one of the colony's rare bats. Spotting one is considered a lucky occurrence, and some collectors have spent years searching the skies without ever seeing one.

With glowing green eyes, vibrant wings, and a wonderfully wonky wizard hat, Radabat marches to the beat of its own drum. Nobody knows exactly what magic it practises, but strange things tend to happen whenever it appears.

Missing socks? Radabat.
A sudden urge to buy more bats? Radabat.
Finding an extra biscuit in the packet? Definitely Radabat.

Deep within the colony lurks Mire 💚

With glowing green eyes and markings that look like they're alive with ancient magic, Mire feels like a creature straight from a forgotten forest.

No one is quite sure where Mire spends the daylight hours. Some say hidden amongst twisted roots. Others insist they're found deep within misty marshes where the air hums with old magic.

One thing is certain—if you venture too far into the woods after dark, you'll probably find Mire watching from above. 🌿

Meet Weaver, the fourth bat to emerge from the colony introductions. 🕸️

Handmade and hand-painted by me, Weaver is a little darker than some of the others, with intricate spiderweb wings and a tiny spider companion who never seems to be far away.

While other bats spend their evenings causing mischief, Weaver prefers patience and creativity—carefully spinning plans, collecting stories, and keeping an eye on everything happening around the colony.

As one of my 21 unique bats, Weaver is a tribute to all things spooky, gothic, and wonderfully mysterious.

The colony introductions continue, and this time we're meeting Pulse 💖

Unlike the others, Pulse wasn't actually my idea...

This bat was inspired by my husband, who suggested incorporating a heart into the design. The result was Pulse—a little bat with a big heart and a whole lot of personality.

Handmade and hand-painted by me, Pulse combines deep black wings with bright pink details and a heart that's impossible to miss. Whether they're carrying it, protecting it, or simply showing it off, I'll let you decide. 🖤💗

As one of my 21 unique bats, Pulse proves that sometimes the best ideas come from the people around us.

After introducing Cosmo, it's time to meet the next member of the colony...

💖🖤 Glitch 🖤💜

Handmade and hand-painted by me, Glitch earned their name because they look like something went wonderfully wrong. Split between light and dark, pink and black, sweet and spooky, they're a walking contradiction and all the better for it.

With glowing pink eyes and mismatched wings, Glitch has always stood out amongst the colony. Some bats blend in. Glitch does the exact opposite.

As one of my 21 unique bats, every detail was painted by hand, making them completely one of a kind.

🦇✨ Meet Cosmo ✨🦇

After months of painting, creating, and collecting, I thought it was finally time to introduce the bats!

First up is Cosmo 🌌

Handmade and hand-painted by me, Cosmo was created with a galaxy-inspired finish, making him look as though he's flown straight out of the night sky.

What started as a single bat has now grown into a colony of 21 unique bats, each with their own name, personality, and story.
Over the coming weeks I'll be introducing them one by one, sharing the details, inspiration, and little quirks that make each bat special.

Cosmo is proud to be Bat #1 in the introductions. 🖤

At the tender age of five, Hocus Pocus first entered my world 🧙‍♀️✨

It’s hard to remember the exact moment I watched it for the first time, but it’s safe to say this film was probably my spooky, witchy awakening. I’ve always had an affinity for witches and magic… and that hasn’t changed today 🌙

So when I spotted this old VHS online, I had to buy it for myself 📼 Not for watching — for admiring, and remembering.

I have such fond memories of watching it with my brother and sister. My sister (the eldest and always the bossy one) naturally cast herself as Winnie. My cousin got Mary, the funny one… which left me with Sarah, the “most beautiful of the three.” These days though, I think it’s safe to say I lean more towards an unhinged Mary energy 😈

We even had a cat called Binx at one point, who lived to the grand old age of 20 🐈‍⬛

This film shaped a lot more of my childhood than I probably realised at the time. We wore that tape out from watching it on repeat.

Some films aren’t just films , they’re memories you can hold 💫
