Candles, for me, have never been just candles. They're little rituals woven into my day.
Lighting one is a pause. A marker. A gentle reminder to slow down.
Summer is always a quieter season for my little business, and with the recent heatwave it's been even slower. But honestly? I'm not complaining. I love this time of year. It's given me the chance to catch up on all the behind-the-scenes jobs that get pushed aside when life gets busy, and preparations for our busiest season are already well underway.
It's also given me something even more precious... time. Time with my girls as we all settle into this new chapter of life now they've moved into homes of their own. Our relationship is changing in the loveliest way, and I'm really enjoying discovering what the next pages looks like.
I've been spending less and less time on social media too, and so far it's only been a good thing. It's made more space for real life, while reminding me that this little business can still grow without me feeling like I have to be online every minute of the day.
Thank you, as always, for every order, every kind message and for sticking by me, even though I'm showing up a little differently these days. It means more than you know.
Right then, enough waffling... I'll pop the kettle on. You light the candle
