As always when I am quiet I am making bears behind the scenes. I had to have 6 weeks off due to an operation on my wrist and was just getting back to making bears again when I fell and broke the same wrist so was out of action for a few weeks but I am back sewing again 🥰

Some bears I’ve made recently. One bear from the lovely Henry Searle’s t-shirt with guitars on it and another from his waistcoat so it seemed apt to make a mini waistcoat, definitely a challenge but I finally made a mini waistcoat 🥰 I’ve had to have some time off due to an operation on my wrist but going to try and do a little sewing this week 😃

I delivered these bears to a lovely lady called Joyce this morning made out of her late husband’s shirt and trousers including his bow tie and red handkerchief I bought a child’s bow tie and adapted it for the small bear so they could be alike. I left them in the care of a happy but emotional Joyce 🥰

I may have been very quiet these past few months but that doesn’t mean that I’ve not been busy. I’ve been working on an order of 9 bears some made from these shirts below. Unfortunately I cannot show you the transformation into my lovely bears because I’ve not delivered them yet plus they are intended as Christmas presents so I can’t post them until after Christmas 🎄

Maria’s Memory Bears is supporting Music by the Sea in memory of Henry Searle. It is being held on Sunday 5th September between 12pm and 5pm at Prince Albert Gardens Swanage. Check out the bands playing and ticket sales visit support4henry.co.uk.

All proceeds go to supporting selected charities - CanCare, Willdoes & Ambulance Car. I will have a table there on the day showing a few of the bears I have made with photographs of all of the bears I have made so come along and have a look. Any orders taken for a memory bear I will donate £10 between the 3 charities.

Join us for an afternoon of entertainment, local bands & acts performing songs that Henry loved. 5th September 2021 // 12pm till 5pm // Prince Albert gardens, Swanage, Dorset // Wristbands £10 adults, free for children

I delivered my latest 3 bears to a very happy customer today. Seeing the joy that my memory bears give makes everything worthwhile and makes me feel so good inside 🥰
