BOTANICAL CASTING WORKSHOP 🌼 - Ella's Flower Farm, Dorset - Saturday 5th September 2026 - 10am to 2.30pm 💐

Come join Ella & I for a delightful day in the peaceful walled garden of Ella's Flower Farm. This will be our final casting workshop of the summer.

Pick your own seasonal flowers & foliage fresh from the garden. Then enjoy the slow process of creating your own botanical plaster relief roundel.
Learn how to make impressions in clay, the methods of plaster casting and plaster painting techniques.

Well, what a very special workshop we had this weekend!🌸 I mean it's not every day that you get to do botanical casting in the garden of a Roman villa! Thank you Butser Ancient Farm, it was magic!✨️ I was guided to 'The Forvm' by a Viking warrior, who was there early to set up for a battle reenactment and later, we had a lovely chat with a Roman legionary while practicing our painting skills. Thanks to all the gorgeous people for joining me!💚

Well, what a fabulous day we had yesterday!🌸 Botanical casting in the beautiful walled garden of Ella's Flower Farm; hidden away in Dorset. We started the day collecting flowers & foliage from the scented garden and listening to the birds singing in the trees. We were fuelled on dorset tea and local cake. I even managed to find a rather good, 0% prosecco, to keep us refreshed! 🍾
I think everyone had fun!? 😊
