This arrived this morning. It's a transducer made by US company Airmar and is a real serious lump of a transducer. It's a 1 Kw unit weighing over 2.7 Kg which should show clear bottom images at up to 1500 feet.
We'll need an electric reel with plenty of line!

New stock of Yo-Zuri Bonita trolling lures just arrived. Great for Bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, sharks, wahoo, mahi mahi and even marlin will eat them sometimes. Trolls straight at 15 Knots so you can search out fish while steaming to your next mark.

We had a great time in Angola at the Lobito Sailfish Classic. The sailfish were thin on the ground but a few were caught along with some nice blue marlin, mahi mahi and wahoo. We also caught a bonus small mako on a trolled lure.
Spike caught this lovely blue but sadly on a practice day before the competition so didn't get us any points!

We'll be away for a few days from Saturday 21st March - Wednesday 1st April. We're fishing in the Lobito Billfish Classic in Lobito, Angola where they have world record size Sailfish at this time of year.

We won't be shipping any orders received during this period until Friday 3rd April so if you have any urgent requirements please place your orders this week and we'll see that they get shipped before we leave.

Bristow hooks are due back in stock. We sold many more Bristow size 9/0 this year than expected so unfortunately ran out before the end of the season. The Japanese factory had enough material in stock to make a few hundred which are on their way to us now, due on Monday 8th December. Too late for this year's tuna season but at least we have them available. The main batch will arrive around July 2026 subject to material being available.

You don't usually think of New York City as a sportfishing destination but apparently they have some great fishing there. Our client Anton's boat is moored in a New York marina and he has a twenty mile run to the Bluefin tuna. If you check the movie you can see the skyscrapers in the distance!
