Finish one… on with the next 💪🏼 This kit was the GWH 1/144 Avro Vulcan B2 configured to the MMR (Maritime) variant. Dressed in Funkdecals 27sqn with all the markings from a 1980’s reference guide.

The Aircraft was supported with a custom 3D printed stand in a frosty clear colour and posed with the wings banked.

The base was made from solid ash, routered and engraved with our clients logo, then finished in a gloss varnish.

The base was topped with paper mache, painted and sealed with woodlands scenics water effects resin.

As it shrunk / dried out it naturally conformed to sea shaped waves 🌊. Perfect! The finish and clarity is brilliant and is definitely one for our record books!

Throwback to these beautiful pieces of art for the guest speakers at the Tornado Tales event with Runway25 back in November 2024.

A collaboration with Valour Works and their amazing craftsmanship helped to set these pieces apart, thanks to quilted solid ash bases with custom engravings.

Thank you to all, for your efforts to help create such a remarkable tribute to former aircrew, Wg Cdr (Ret) Steve Dean and Flt Lt Chris “Stradders” Stradling.
