Celebrating Hesley Wood owned by South Yorkshire Scouts on International Day of Charity.

As a registered charity, Hesley Wood offers safe, fun, enjoyable outdoor experiences for Scouts, Guides, schools, and youth groups; helping them grow physically, socially, and spiritually.

We couldn't do that without the support of our staff, volunteers, and visitors like you who help fund adventures for young people from all over the world.

Happy New School Year! 🚸

As everyone heads back to school in September, it is a popular time to move on from one section to another in Scouting.

Starting a new Section means buying a new Scouting uniform, which we have ready and available for you to buy at

We are open Monday to Friday 9-4 and Saturday and Sunday 10.30-4

We are pleased to see that have partnered with to launch the Money Skills Badge for Scouts and Explorers.

We'll be adding these badges to our product range in the next couple of weeks.

Did you know that using our onsite shop gives young people an opportunity to gain money skills?

From choosing what to buy, what's best value for money, calculating the total cost, and working out the change. There is an element of budgeting, too, do they spend their £5 now on Saturday morning or spread it out over the whole weekend?

For many of our visitors, our shop is their first experience of handling their own money.
