Christmas has arrived at Castle Book Bindery and this year we are celebrating 250 years of Jane Austen! We have handbound journals featuring Jane Austen's portrait including an edition designed and created in our workshop. Take a look at this beautiful Family Bible restored at the Castle Book Bindery. When brought to us, the covers were detached, the leather was faded and worn, and the brass clasps broken. We were able to put in a new leather spine to secure the covers, fix the clasps and bring the leather back to life to show off the original gold gilt work.

This week at Castle Book Bindery, we were brought Charles Dickens' Pickwick Papers. We made a bespoke case binding for this first edition of the novel.
