The first of the spring sown antirrhinums (snapdragons) peeping through. These tiny seeds are always the first I sow - and so quick to germinate which is so reassuring - and magical!

The hellebores are here. Amazing that something so delicate looking should flower in February. For picking purposes they are best left until pollinated and the seed pods have formed, then they will have a good vase life. For the time being I am enjoying them in the garden.

My top 9 favourites from 2019. A bit late I know! Appropriately starting top left with Rosanna’s bouquet, and the flowers in Dennington church. It also happily includes 2 wedding arches, a funeral wreath, dried flower installation , hellebores and roses. All home grown/british flowers and foam-free arrangements. And the gorgeous pink tulips which I took last Feb at tulip farm on a visit with . Looking forward to lots more this year!

It’s always nice when wedding flowers get a ‘second life’ as gifts to friends etc - so this weekends wedding was a delight. Today I held a workshop for the brides family and friends to repurpose these Christmassy garlands into wreaths for their front doors. What a wonderful momento to take home from a wedding which also featured a huge wreath on the wall of . Thanks to for some nifty garlanding! @ Bruisyard Country Estate

Bringing Autumn indoors. The yellows and golds have been glowing in the hedgerows this year. This was an autumnal installation in a beautiful light filled house in Norfolk. With beech, oak, birch, field maple and some vibrant dried hydrangeas. The hazel in last picture has been my favourite but the leaves fall off too quickly indoors!

I never like to start making my wreaths too early - but suddenly it’s time to prepare for two Christmas fairs next weekend. On Friday 29 I will be at The Queen at Brandeston for their Christmas Emporium 1-6pm. On Sunday 1 December I will be at the Festive Makers Market in Orford Town Hall 10-4. Expect wreaths fresh and dried, and bunches of dried flowers. This is my rather autumnal start with some 3D twigs of oak and birch, cotoneaster and bracken.

Flo’s bouquet with the cafe au lait dahlias, phlox and my new favourite celosia. The eight bridesmaids had similar/smaller bouquets. Time is racing by and I am now gathering the ingredients for a bright bouquet for this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday I will be at selling our flowers and chatting about local and seasonal flowers. I am bringing some dried flowers too this year. Come and say hello!

Exciting ingredients for today’s wedding bouquets - all picked here. The dahlias have loved this sunny week. The last picture was taken before picking on Thursday. Dahlias Labrynth, Jowey Winnie, Bronze Cornel and Preference in the middle row - nicely matching the barn roof.

So hard to capture, but this was the flowery meadow for Alice and Laurie in the beautiful church at Bramford. Lots of different flowers, grasses and herbs. That and the acidanthera and phlox smelt wonderful. There were also some really impressive hornbeam trees from Botanica nurseries.

Such a pretty church with this little lych gate just asking for flowers! A wild mix of roses, honey suckle, Annabelle hydrangeas, dahlias and agapanthus. Such a peaceful place, with a small aeroplane swooping over head until we waved back.. and off it buzzed. Thanks to Jen for all your help.
