Anyone else sick of pattern thieves stealing your patterns and using ai to alter photos? I had just that over on Etsy for the first time on Tuesday. I’ve been fighting other websites for years, but never had to start a battle with Etsy.
Today I won and had the listing removed.
Also when I found this I also found other designers patterns which absolutely breaks my heart, designers like my self and very very established designers patterns.
It takes months to get a pattern ready for release, and to then see someone steal your pattern and upload in minutes is soul destroying.
Today I enrolled with a copyright protection company and have copyright protection in place which will help me going forward with dmca takedowns a lot faster and easier.
Annual yearly fee with 5 free certificates.
I can’t put into words what peace of mind this has given me.
With Etsy I had very good proof, I did have to purchase my own pattern to get that proof but I got it.
But now I have certificate of protected work in place for all my patterns and future patterns.
