How to Tie Dovey’s Simple Chod
Set-Up 🔥

Getting on carp with minimal disturbance should always be a priority - especially when they’re prone to being flighty. Rather than risking poor presentation over unknown ground, often keeps it simple: he ties a Chod Rig straight onto his existing leader and slides the bead to the top, allowing him to make a single cast with complete confidence that he’s fishing effectively every time.

Here’s the steps Dovey follows to tie his Chods:

1️⃣Take a length of 20lb Mouth Trap and size 6
Kamakura Choddy

2️⃣Pass your Mouth Trap through the back of
the eye

3️⃣ Startby forming a Knotless Knot

4️⃣After 6-7 turns bed down, mount a Rig Ring
and blob to form your D

5️⃣Set your Chod at the desired length and tie
to your Swivel with a 2 turn Blood Knot

6️⃣Form your desired curve in your end section

7️⃣ Attach your pop up to a section of floss and
blob

8️⃣Go and catch some carp! 🐋
