🚴‍♀️Service Update 🏂

Solstice Bikes will be closing down for the winter period while I work teaching folk how to not crash their snowboard! This period will be between: December - March.

However I will be checking emails and calls, so feel free to get in touch about booking events/work in the spring and summer.

While there is lots of downsides to running a business yourself, there is also some pretty cool perks like being able to choose when you work and where. And a few months on the slopes in Austria does sound good right now 😎

And a big thanks to all my customers who have supported me and I can’t wait to be your convenient bike mechanic service next year!

For once, there is such a thing as a free lunch! (Or a free bike repair in this case). Thanks to students can receive up to £50 towards repairs and servicing.

Had a well used Claud Butler in this week, safe to say keeping your bike clean really does save a few pennies. The fine grit and oil mix has worn down a lot of bearings and parts on this bike.

A well deserved service and some new components will see this bike on for a good few hundred miles more.

New 9 speed chain & cassette
New hollowtech BB
New V brake pads F+R
New pedals

Back log of content all coming out now!

Built this a good few years ago and glad to see it’s still going strong. Hasn’t had any major work apart from services. It’s covered a good few thousand miles and keeps on going!

Bled the brakes today as they finally started to feel spongy and under powdered, not bad 4 years without a bleed.

This is off to Orkney next week, so it’s in for a base service, fitting of racks and mounting up the good old Brooks B17 saddle.
