Can running actually help you climb harder?

The short answer: YES, if you do it right. Here’s the cheat sheet on combining them without killing your gains:

1. Timing is key: Run on your climbing days (ideally after your session) to keep your rest days truly restful.
2. Keep it short: 1-2 sessions a week for 30 mins is the sweet spot for most boulderers.
3.Power over distance: Hill sprints and intervals transfer better to explosive climbing moves than long, slow jogs.
4. Recovery boost: Aerobic fitness actually helps you recover faster between attempts on your project!
