As part of Newport’s Heritage Open Day on 12th September, we’re putting together a slideshow celebrating the history of our wonderful indoor market.

We’d love to include photographs from across the years, inside the market, outside the building, traders, customers, special events… anything that helps tell its story.

If you have photographs you’re willing to share, please send us a message or pop into the market to see Tom or Lucy.
If you have printed photographs, we’re happy to scan them and return them straight away.

Every picture helps preserve a little piece of Newport’s history for future generations.

If you’ve been driving past the mini roundabout by Newport Library today, you may have spotted our brand new Newport Indoor Market banner.

It’s there for one simple reason… to remind people that Newport Indoor Market is here and well worth a visit.

Whether you’re looking for gifts, crafts, fresh produce, antiques, clothing, handmade items, delicious food or simply fancy a wander and a chat, there’s something for everyone.

We’re open Fridays and Saturdays, 8am–4pm

If you haven’t visited for a while, why not pop in and see what’s changed? We’d love to welcome you.
